Own a set of aftermarket wheels or are you running different tires? Post pictures by using the format below.

I did a search and didnt find anything that compiles all of our cars with the various wheel setups available, so i created this one.

To keep things clean and informative please post in this format:

  • Brand Wheel with specs
  • Brand Tire with specs
  • If the wheels are custom in any way please specify what made them custom
  • Image from front
  • Image from side
  • Image from rear
  • Image from 3/4 front
  • Image from 3/4 front with wheels fully clocked the direction the car is turned
  • Image from 3/4 rear
  • Optional: Image from front without bumper and splash guards off

Tips for good images:
  1. Take shots at a low angle and from 30-50ft away.
  2. Take pictures in good lighting(i.e. sun to your back, sun over head, in a very well lit garage with enough light to see dark wheels.
  3. use a DSLR with a telephoto if possible, if not try finding a point and shoot.
  4. If you are using an smartphone try to only shoot during the day time.
  5. Most of all, this is for informational purposes only, so dont get crazy and photoshop.

Hi guys, please could i get some advice on 245 45 18 tyres. I've come across a really good deal on a set of Nokain WR A3, 245 45 18 tyres. I have stock everything, suspension, rims and currently stock tyres 235 40 18. I am wondering if i will be able to fit the nokian 245 45 18 tyres and will i have any issues?
Eh, I don't know. That is 1.28 inches taller overall than OE. That's a pretty big difference. It may work with OE suspension but not a promise. (emphasis on may)

Ah yes a quick google search and i figured that spacers would not help in terms of height. So i've just quickly done a rough measure, there is plenty clearance to the outside of the tyre and wheel arches however the clearance between the tyre and suspension towards the inside of the wheel is about 1 inch. With 0.64inch (16.25mm) on top of the tyre there is about 0.36 inch (9mm ish) clearance. That is without any load. I'm not sure how much suspension travels under load but if it helps usually theres a maximum of 2 people in the car most of the time.

Regardless it seems like too much trouble for a set of tyres. I could have got the tyres for £100 from a friend, these are Nokian WR A3 tyres with roughly 6mm tread. But if they are not going to fit and even if they do fit but cause rubbing then its a waste of £100 in my eyes.

Please do let me know what you think, whether it is worth it or not and with the rough idea of the clearance whether its dooable.

Thank you.

QUESTION!
I am searching for new tires. I do not do autocross or track the car. I occasionally go up Angeles Crest Highway and canyon carve. My question is: will Federal SS 595 size, 235/40/18 fit perfectly on the stock snowflake wheels? Has anyone tried these tires. I am really leaning towards them due to their pricing and overall good reviews. THANK YOU

Probably bought them in either 5x100 or 5x114.3 and had them re-drilled to 5x108. Some people run adapters, as well, but not sure how easy that would be with the wider wheels
It doesnt look like a fill and drill, if it was, they did a clean job with the wheel face. Looking at the pictures, the lug holes seem evenly spaced and machined. I wouldnt think it was an adapter either, most would be around 1" thick and he says the offset is 45, adding 25mm from a spacer would mean they'd have to be like an et70 originally no cars run that. Nor does it look like he's poking from running a spacer with that wheel size/offset. Technically Enkei doesnt list my RPF1's on their site as being available in 5x108 and 18x8.5 but they do exist thanks to Oakos ordering batches.

@deesiel678 did you order a custom set? Fill and drill? Spacer? Hub/rotor redrill? inquiring minds want to know your secrets!
To redrill, you don't have to fill the face and then redrill the holes (although, filling and drilling is a process that can be used). Shops can "extend" the lug hole to the new diameter and then use an insert at the lug seat.

This is a wheel that has been redrilled with an insert: https://goo.gl/images/KGCCZa.
These were originally 5x100, redrilled to 5x108. I bought them from Aspire Motoring; they charged $25 per wheel to do the redrill. They were done with inserts, not fill and drill, and they did a really good job IMO. My only *minor* complaint/concern is that the lug cutout is raw now (paint removed from the redrill). Hard to tell since the wheel is silver also.

Here's a better look:

You've lowered it as well? Interesting. I was originally going for some 19x9.5s, but what with rubbing potential, ride quality and the extra weight of the wheels, I've decided to go for 18x9.5 to go in my flared arches once I get them fitted. Not as good looking as 19s, but far more practical in all respects.
