Ethanol is less carbon rich so you need more. It has a higher octane or greater knock threshold. That’s why it’s used, more timing and boost = more power. HPFP and injector flow is the same for either of these fuels so you’ll run lean sooner all things equal. 93 octane usually doesn’t hit the octane limits before fuel limits on the stock fuel system and BT.

I have stage 3 upgrades + TB spacer and the GTX2867R Gen 1 (stock fuel system)

Im running e30 (93/e85) I know virtual dyno is not the best tool for some people but Im getting a max of 347whp/359tq on e30, about 24psi dropping to 18psi and around 20degrees at redline............. I feel the power is to low for the gas/boost/timing Im running.... what hp do you guys have on the stock fuel system?

I havent started tuning for 93 fuel only, Im guessing about 300whp.

I though I would be getting around 330-350 on 93 and around 380-400 on e30, been in Florida sea level and 60F weather right now.
Something isn't right there. Here's a Data Log of mine. Same turbo .64A/R (gen 2).. I hit ~27psi peak and hold ~25 psi till redline. I'm on 91 octane pretty close to sea level.

More ethanol = More injection, less power on the stock fuel system

Less ethanol = Stock injection, more power

GTX28xx with a tight housing (.64), internal wastegate is mid 300's on pump, low 400's on race gas/water injection, race fuel concentrate.

Do the math to see how much it will cost you to maintain 400+ hp. 475 is doable with water-methanol injection, AEM says 991-1101cc (450-500 hp) = 2 Nozzles or direct port
So you can get 400 whp on 98 with the stock fuel system?

I doubt it. Fuel system runs out of steam around 350 whp on 93. More octane will get you more ign timing, but fuel volume is pretty maxed. Not sure if the timing can overcome lack of fuel volume to support 400whp. I could see it getting closer to 375whp. Would have to sit down and do the math.

We're not talking 98 ron right?

98 race gas, what timing would be max you can think of to achieve it?

Thats a conversation to have with your tuner.

I've never seen or heard of 98 race gas. Normally hear of 100oct plus. So tuners would be the right people to ask.

In the dyno thread the stock fuel system record is 427 hp on Sunoco low lead (110 octane). Stock fuel system, bolt-ons and ATP GTX-2971 turbocharger.

400+ on the stock fuel system is easily attained. I can get the stock turbo up to 350+ hp but that's for another thread.

I noticed on my 2867 e50 4 port setup boost hits target 28 psi but tapers to 25 psi. WGDC starts around 60 and ends up at 90. Is this normal or is there a way I could help it hold boost?
Its normal.

depends on the location and elevation also and obviously the tune.
