I did it in 15 minutes in a gas station parking lot between logging runs.

And you forgot to torque them correctly and anti-seize the threads!

Absolutely. And have never done it before on the hundreds of cars and bikes I've worked on as a mechanic. Nor has anyone I've ever worked with in the 3 shops I've worked at.. Lol
Not saying not to though if you feel so inclined..

I was just kidding. I'm the kind of guy that use torque wrench to torque screws in plywood and ****.

I'll take a look laters. Did you log ign corr 1-4 and timing base?
Looks like spark advance is about the same between runs. .50 more with the colder plugs..

Edit: .5 timing added it seems with colder plugs.

I purchased denso, are the gap setting the same across the brands?
Denso's are gapped to around .032.

Just so you guys know, we have the elusive ITV22's in stock. Just got a big shipment in today.

We, of course, have NGK's as well.

So there is no need to gap these. Its a "plug and play" application?
They are close to the ST's factory gap setting but it is important to check and make sure that every plug is right. You may still need to gap them down a little though.

What do we look for in logs to determine if we need to shorten the gap?
My logs look good and car runs strong with new plugs.

Well, there isn't really anything to look for in the logs that will stand out and say you need colder plugs. But you can see the ecu adding and pulling timing and from what people are seeing after adding colder plugs is that before the car might have been pulling timing and after it is adding a little bit.

We are tuning our car on the GTX2867 with stock plugs and once we get it set we are going to switch to colder plugs and see what the ecu does with timing and see how much more power we can make by increasing timing a bit. We'll definitely be sharing our results.

misfires caused by spark blow out.
This I understand but I don't see anything different from stock in the logs and I left the factory NGK gap. Guess I have to see if we can bump the timing up cause it looks like the I'm hitting the limit of the tune right now.

I was just messing with my NGK gap... It is 0.039" out of the box. We are supposed to be 0.030" - 0.032". I don't know enough about this stuff, but that seems like a lot of difference to not regap to spec.
