Which sensors did you go with?
It was a generic kit off ebay and it comes with front and rear sensors. It was $51 and got it in a week. The vendor was nice enough to send the 2 front in gloss black and the rear came in what seemed like Deep Impact Blue. Has a wireless module for the beeper with graphic display that I installed near the hatch from the headliner (photo coming). Install took about 2-3 hours total. I did have to wait a few days to get my sensors painted. If you need them painted ask body shop if they have extra L1 paint left over, they may do it for free. My guy did .

The hardest part is making sure the sensors are the same level, not as easy as you would think. But I think it came out just fine.

Next week I do plan on getting a rear camera installed. My electronics guy says he can program the module to have it display on the Mytouch, for only $275!

Today was the first day everything finished. So far I like it. May move the beeper and meter since everything is backwards and upside down when looking in the mirror. But the sensor are good, the front only reacts to very close objects, the back ones work farther away. For the $50 I have no complaints.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm also wondering if each sensor has a battery in it since it's all wireless, that could be a pain in the long run.

The only thing "wireless" is the beeper/display. The sensors themselves are still wired. I guess it's supposed to make it easier to mount the beeper/display up front without having to run wires along the inside. The display is actually pretty small. maybe 3" wide at most byt maybe 1" tall at most. I had to mount it upside down because the bottom has a flat surface. I will try to get a guide later today. But it is really easy. Just tap one wire into the reverse light, the other upper in the upper brake light. There is a fuse panel back there in the same area on driver side. Since I have a ST3 I just used the fuses for the heated seats (25A), one to power the sensor module, the other for the beeper/display. This is a ACC or switched power so it does not draw power when vehicle off. I have updated the OP with 2 photos of the beeper/sensor.

For the $50 and couple hours of my time I totally think it's worth it.

Keep us posted on the development with the rearview cam details, please. I would love to have a backup cam show on the MFT display.

I'm also not the biggest fan of that display. It does look much bigger in the eBay page pics though. For 50 bucks this seems like a great option.

I have an ST1 so the backup camera becomes a much more expensive option here - would love some sensors, especially because even after a year I haven't gotten much used to how much room I have at the front end!

Funny you say that. For some reason I can park my Flex easier than the ST. Even though in the back the wiper pretty much tells you the end of the car, for some reason I still and up about 3 feet away. And the front you can see where the hood ends, yet still to far away. And I am originally from Boston and know how to "pahk" my "ka".

The front sensors work of the brake light for 10 seconds then they shut off.

You could probably install in the lower part, which I did think of. But the install guide gave a height and I assume that Ford did it's research and placed them at the current location for a reason. Only a few days so I can't say if it does curbs, but has picked up pretty much everything else. I will admit I probably should have put the outside rear ones closer to the outer corner of the car for better side detection. But so far so good.

Do you have to use the back sensors? I just want the front ones installed, i already installed back up camera with lockpick2 so I don't need the reverse sensors.
