Does the AGS control the left and right side grills separately? I was experiencing rapid overheating on a track day yesterday, like less than 5 minutes and the temps where rising to the "H" on the dummy gauge and the ECU pulling timing/boost. When I pulled it in, the left side AGS was open, but the right side was closed. When I turned on the AC, the right side still remained closed.

I didn't plug in the accessport to pull codes yet, but I've been thinking about it and hope it's the AGS.

No. There is a crossbar though on it to control both sides equally. You'll want to check yours is connected correctly and hasn't snapped off.

@Bugasu@Stratified Thanks for the info! I'm glad that this is the case, because having half of the radiator covered is a definite attributing factor to my overheating (duh). I'll rip that cr@p out this weekend!

grille shutters are for warming, cooling, and MPG. When sales people are doing their certifications on STARS, grille shutters are pushed as a way to improve fuel economy over its competitors.

I took mine out because i don't like plastic, and i wanted my intercooler to show... i am unaware of any gains or losses, but it sure looks sexy without it.
