I love the headlight/intake. That’s awesome. Plans for the F-150?🤓
The intake was a pain to cut correctly said the fab guy but it came out great. And nothing but simple audio upgrades, an exhaust, and small things here and there. Since it’s my daily I don’t want it to be unreliable. That’s what I’m building the focus for 😂

It looks awesome. Good job. How are you planning on covering your hood dump cut? Or just leave it.
😂 Yes have to have one vehicle that works.

Okayyyy, long time no see. I picked up a 2019 f150 2.7 ecoboost as a new daily with a 4/6 drop on 24” Giovanna’s so some funds were rerouted for a little bit too. The sidewinder is completed and ready to go. The entire setup is stainless and a 3” stainless exhaust all the way back. Everything is vbanded for easy removal. We made 2 separate rear end pipes. One is a 3” straight pipe and the other has a 9” race muffler and angled tip for the asphalt to help lower the decibel reading for sound limits on the track.

This setup should flow amazingly and have no issues. The lsd, clutch, and synchros are on the way to build the tranny right now. Once that is done, I’ll order the willwood bbk. Then back to the cage as there have been delays with that part. Finish the wiring, get new tires, and small misc things to work out before we get it ready for testing. Here are some pics of the new sidewinder for everyone’s enjoyment🙏🏻

Very nice workmanship.

Do you plan to wrap the lead-in to the turbine?

SOLD

Well everyone, after talking with my fabricator, we decided to pull the trigger on the RWD setup now instead of waiting. With that said unfortunately the entire exhaust system we just built will not be usable in a RWD configuration so i need to sell it. I listed it in the parts classifieds and here is a link below:

https://www.focusst.org/threads/1-of-1-track-focused-sidewinder-setup-for-sale.172464/

Im sad to never hear this setup run but excited to finally start the RWD conversion. If you are interested, please feel free to reach out!

What’s the plan for drive drain and trans now that the engine will be facing the correct direction?
right now the plan is to use an MT82 and the ecoboost mustang bellhousing so it bolts up with no adapter, a focus rs rear subframe because it will be the easiest to make fit, and an s550 mustang rear diff so i dont have to deal with the RS diff clutch packs and ecu's. The ill go to the Driveshaft Shop for custom sized axles and driveshaft!

that is a great plan!

when you do the fuel cell, are you going to make it bigger than the oem capacity?

Unfortunately yeah. The system would be too complicated and heavy after looking into it. RWD would be much simpler and more effective. And no still going for time attack!

Yes that seems like a very complex and heavy system for what the benefits are. I know next to nothing of time attack but it looks super fun!
