Hmmmmm, i read all about it on that fourm and im kinda considering it..... the temptationnnnnnnnn! WWTTTSSSHHHHHHH! (a.k.a. turbo sound)

 

I've never read anything bad about green Filters. I know they are used in alot of professional Motor sport. Know they make all kinds of Aftermarket Cone Filters. But $70 bucks for a Sound Right now is alot of Kaching.

 

Lol thats why im trying to figure out if thats all it is, the sound would be fun and neat but if it doesnt do anything eles ill probably just wait to buy a full CAI later down the road. Butttttttt i have looked around and honestly cant find a whole lot on these so i might have to just take a blind shot and cross my fingers?

 

If i could find it for the same price as a K&N i would buy it lets say that.

Still can't justify that. Its like i see people changing there oil at 1K miles for no reason. I was under the imperssion new cars used a brake in oil to help the motor like Seasoning Cast iron skillets lol.

 

As soon as i posted that i checked Amazon and they are pretty cheap, im still thinking on holding off for a CAI later on to have performance AND the sound hah.

 

WEll FRom what i've seen only like 5HP will be achieved for the CAI not sure if i was misread the info or what. But i'm with you wait till a nice Aftermarket Intake System to come ready available. I just fear the annoying Check engine light problem with a Intake.

 

With most newer cars especially performance cars the stock intake is usually as good as it gets! Now the filter can be upgraded to a better filter and this green filter looks like a good filter like a AEM dry flo. But Cold air intakes dont really gain you much any more at all. Even in a Vid online in Jay leno's Garage He was talking with the chief engineer of FORD talking about the Boss Mustang and Jay asked him about Cold air intakes if they are really better then stock? He said they use to be but not any more! He said you wont get better then stock. He did say they are nice for show tho but thats about it. So i would say its probably better to buy this filter or any good replacment filter over getting a CAI. Thats just my opinion tho.

Yes the filters are oiled. The filter actually is Black to me. Maybe it will fade a tiny bit to more of a Gray color.

 

So what filter oil do you use when you want to wash it? Is it provided?

They are identical. When I bought mine it was in the ad. Buschur doesn't deny it either. He doesn't have oil though. He said go to green filter to order black oil. I bought some already. Part number 2818. They come pre oiled ready to rock though

 

Does ordering it from Green Filter come with the oil spray? If it does, then the price would be a wash.

 

I'm not sure. Probably have to call green and see. I don't wanna say yes or no and be wrong.

Could just be the quality, but yeah, that sounds awful.

I called Green today to see what the deal was.

1. They do make Buschurs filter. They have a group buy going on another site. Ends up being $59.99 Buschur has his for $54 on ebay. Same thing better price...no brainer for me.
2. Green does not supply oil with their filter. It does come pre-oiled (as well does buschur) but the kit will have to be purchased separately.

Green actually makes filters for a lot of other high end companies in the industry they said. Thing I liked the most. MADE IN THE USA!

That vid just sold me! I've Ben waiting for a closed hood or in car video. I know there "the same thing" but is yours the real green filter? Or the buscher racing one?

 

Wow I can hear it really well...

Not sure if you guys have this problem, but every one keeps asking me "You gonna put a turbo on that." SO hopefully when ever i get a new replacement system I will not get that question lol.
