Are AVS and WeatherTech the only ones you can get? I have just read nothing but bad reviews about their fitment. Have either of them updated the sizing so they do not fall out anymore?

I keep coming back and looking at this picture, I absolutely love the color of this car and everything about it. Wheels seem darker, tail lights seem to pop, the car looks almost purple-ish black, just awesome. Thanks for sharing this pic.

Side note, are they stick on with 3M tape, or are they the inserts that go under your weather stripping?

If you get the Mugen style ones, make sure when you go through a car wash that the dryer blower of the car wash doesn't blow the damn things off. Ive lost two front ones because I didn't notice at the time, went back and they said they didn't find anything. Yep........so Ive had to buy 2 extra sets.

I got the Mugen ones off Amazon. I replaced the faux-3M tape w/ real 3M Automotive adhesive and it's been on the autobahn/rain a few times without any issues. I don't foresee carwash blowers to be an issue if it can withstand autobahn speeds in the rain. Fingers crossed though! Figured it was worth a shot at only $30.

I'll post a pic when the weather clears up.

Just installed these "Mugen" style stick-on ones. I am still on the fence but they are growing on me. Seeing as I hand wash my car I am not too worried about car washes but I definitely can see having to reapply the 3M tape in a year or 2 (or less).

I actually ordered these on Friday. Nice to see them installed on a car, they don't look too bad at all. Ordered some real 3M tape to go with them too. Do you think they'd hold up in an automated car wash? (Never mind how bad those are)

I have the weather tech ones and love them. They fit great and were popped on in 5 mins!

Well I got my "Mugen Style" wind deflectors today from Amazon. Also got 2 rolls of 3M Automotive double sided tape. Dunno whether or not if I needed it, but I added it anyways just to be sure.

I think you just sold me on these for the OW ST.... I was on the fence forever about the mugen style ones as I didn't really like the divot in the middle of them but it actually isn't that bad when they are on the car.

Looks good on white too!

This thread has got me thinking about getting some for my car. However, I am not a fan of the "stick on" reflectors and find the in-channel ones to be much cleaner in appearance.

What options are available besides WeatherTech and AVS? I am finding a very mixed bag of reviews for both of these brands. Some people are reporting poor or insecure fit.

I am in the same boat as you. Never had luck with stick on ones here in AZ, always dry out and fall off. Also heard mixed things about bad fit for in channel ones.

I recently ordered the weather tech in-channel deflectors for my 2015. The rear set did not fit. The shape was too wide, and the edges where the deflector tapers out did not seem to line up. It possibly could have fit if I cut some plastic away ( probably not much, maybe 2 mm) but I didn't want to take a chance at not being able to return, especially since I developed concerns about the front set.

On that note, the front fit great, however there were some issues. People here have said it can ruin your window seal. Can definitely believe that, it stretches the rubber quite a bit. The window acted like it was straining to roll up when I did. It was slow and I would hear a creaking sound as it went up. This was after seating it for 24 hours as stated by the instructions. Also, the window did not seem to fully seal. I noticed a healthy amount of wind noise with the them rolled up. I'm not sure but maybe the window was still sealing and the deflectors just create extra wind noise?

So I ended up returning them. Weather tech was amiable about the whole thing although I think they charged me a small restock fee.

I think I might try the stick-on ones. I'm a bit worried about the wind noise now though. Has anyone with the stick-ons noticed any significant increase in noise??

installed mugen style the other day. i did notice the driver mirror has a slight crest running vertical where it attaches at the front compared to the passenger side. no picture but wondered if anybody ran into this problem and the fitment of the rain gaurd? going to take a heat gun and mold it in nice and tight this week. other than that fitment was pretty spot on. i did get extra 3m tape but the supplied stuff was the same and it really all comes down to the prep work you do first. haven't had any wobbles or abnormal wind noise yet.

No added wind noise with the stick one. I routinely drive 80mph and didn't notice a thing.

Just an FYI, I just purchased AVS window visors from Amazon and I'm here to give you a big warning to avoid them. These things are absolute garbage.

I received the first set on Saturday, and the passenger front visor was broken, so I requested a replacement. In the replacement, one of the rears was broken, but at least I had a full set after receiving two. They were also scuffed and scratched in multiple spots, and just plain don't fit. One of the guys on here made a video about how to install them. The tabs on the ends go over the window seal but under the trim. This works out pretty well up front, though I did have to trim the passenger side to get it to fit well. The rears though are terrible. They simply aren't designed right. When you put the rear tab of the rear visors over the seal and under the trim, the plastic at the top interferes with the window seal and doesn't go around the seal and into the channel properly. This causes the rear part of the seal to get folded over. I cut out chunks of the visor to get it to fit around this spot, and I at least got them installed, but the auto up function definitely wasn't working on either of the rears. I set them in place though and will give them a couple of days to seat to see if it helps, but i don't have high hopes. I have a feeling I'll end up pulling these off and putting them directly into the trash.

Unfortunately, from what I read the WeatherTech versions also have many of the same issues. I really don't like the idea of the stick on visors and much prefer the in-channel visors, but AVS is definitely not the brand to go with. I suppose they are probably hit and miss so you MIGHT get lucky to get a good set, but from the looks of it you'd more likely get a bad set since it looks like the molds they make them from are simply wrong. It could probably be fixed pretty easiliy by setting the top channel-bound tab deeper than the front and back tabs, and shortening the top tab to not go quite as far back to where it hits the seal, but I suppose companies like WeatherTech and especially AVS are more interested in mass produced cheap pieces of plastic rather than putting more time and money into making them better fitting.

I wanted to give an update here. The fronts have been good since day one. The passenger side rear has fallen into place with time and seems to be working well now. At first it wouldn't go all the way up, but it wouldn't rebound. I could only tell it wasn't all the way up because the little QR type code etched on the window was right at the bottom window trim instead of just a little gap under it.

The driver side rear has been rebounding since I installed it. I've been able to close it by inching it up the last little bit so it doesn't rebound. Today after work I took a look and found it was because it was folding the window seal at the top back. I ended up cutting the top rear corner of the rear window seal just slightly like I did on the passenger side when I first installed to get a little more flexibility in that seal. Not ideal, but carefully it shouldn't hurt anything. I got it reinstalled and seated and closed the window with it seated properly in the seal and will leave it a few days again. I'm afraid I put a nice curve in the seal with it folded over all this time, but I think it will be resilient enough to reshape itself again. I may get out the heat gun and ever so slightly warm it to help a few times over the weekend. I'm going to win this damn battle!

I still don't suggest these for the price when you have to do so much hacking and chopping of them to get them to work right. That said, it would be worth it to me again over having stick on deflectors!

How are your AVS wind deflectors holding up? I caved and purchased a set... just got done installing mine. All windows except driver's side front rebounded as I tried rolling them up... hoping this will go away once the adhesive sets. Otherwise mine came in good condition with no real scratches to be found. AVS logo was easy to remove, so now they look much better. Just hoping they hold/don't fall off and don't interfere with normal window operation!

A side question about the rear vents... One of the things I liked when I had them on my old Civic Si hatchback was that you could crack the windows and it would still be covered by the visor. Looking at the rear windows when they are cracked, there is also a small gap on the side of the window due to the way it rolls down. It seems like this gap could render the rear "vent" visors useless in a cracked window scenario. Here's a quick illustration of my concern.. anyone with visors know if this is the case? Blue outline is my exaggeration of the window and the red area I think would be exposed due to the shape of the glass.
