Wow.. I wish I had this problem. Jokes aside, I think there is a way to disable it in FORScan, did you recently hook up a forscan?

 

Yeah I despise the honk too lol. Like the doors audibly click when locking and the lights flash, why would I need the car to honk at me too?

This may or may not work (listed as a Ford procedure)

You are also able to activate and reactivate the horn beep feature

Here are the steps. Press both the lock and unlock buttons on your remote for two seconds. Watch for the hazard lights to flash three times. Lock the doors and confirm that the horn does not sound.

If you want to reactivate the beep feature: Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for at least two seconds. Watch for the hazard lights to flash once. The horn should honk one time

I might have to do this so I don't honk if I accidentally double press lock

 

Hold lock/unlock for like 10-15 seconds or until you hear it honk. That enables/disables the lock chirp

There must be something different PFL vs FL or something. Mine flashes turn signal but doesn't do anything. Still honks, so put it back. I like the honk anyway, just in case I forget where I parked the car. I usually remember, better than the wife anyways 😊😁.

I seldom use the fob buttons; it mostly stays in my pocket.

 

Wow, my 18 just started not doing this anymore yesterday. I wonder if I accidentally held down the lock button when the fob was in my pocket somehow?

 

Unlikely, as you would have to hold them both down simultaneously for a few seconds. Also. It could be your horns. The first year I had my car it would do it intermittently. Found out after i blew my motor, that the horns are just garbage. Replaced them with aftermarket ones. Perfect ever since.

Yeah, it seems unlikely, for sure. I'll have to remember to check the horn function next time I get in.

 

I did the lock/unlock combo for 10 sec. Got flashing lights and that's it... just more silence of mocking and indignation from my car.

 

Mine started working again yesterday. I didn't do anything to change it.

 

Sounds like something electrical.. Wish I could be more help

 

I'm gonna have to test it more and take some notes about what it's doing. I second-guess myself a lot with this car.
