Lspi is oil flash from the cylinder walls, it has little to nothing to do with fuel.

This is all bad. Bad bad bad. Im so glad your engine didn't let loose, man.
I just had an oil change done a few hundred miles ago, Ive been using full synth Castrol Edge for the last 2 changes and Motorcraft full synth from the start. Should be getting my oil analysis back from blackstone pretty soon.

So, while I havent had any symptoms since the 1800 RPM lugging, is there anything I need to check for possible damage (low compression, plugs. etc) or look for going forward or am I in the clear at this point??

Well, a few people in the engine failure resource thread say they were just driving along when their engine lost a cylinder, which indicates to me that they had probably cracked a piston previously, but not all the way through, so it held compression for a certain period of time before totally failing.

No external test will tell you this, though. I'd imagine if no symptoms appear after a tank or two of fuel, you're probably in the clear.

Well, you never had a tuner, nobody told you what to do, and you dont actually have a device that can record an actual log. Somehow though, you have found the oldest, worst info available.

NO CURRENT TUNER WOULD EVER SUGGEST A 4TH GEAR 1800RPM WOT PULL.

Let me yell that right now.
This forum member is well known here, I think, and in my recollection- he's shown himself to be pretty conscientious with respect to maintenance and warranty-friendly mods (hence the choice of the FRPP tune). I myself researched that tune (for similar reasons) but was advised against it by several experienced members here.

Just so you know he's probably not reading one post and acting on it.

I'm not worried about him.

I'm worried about EVERYBODY else that reads this thread. No need for new members to get the wrong idea. Bad information spreads like wildfire.

2-3-4th gears that are the best usable ones. Don’t being doing this in 5th and God forbid 6th haha. Just downshift a gear or 2, especially on the highway on the highway to be safe 😉
I mean when you run out of 4th there's only one place to go :ROFLMAO:
