I should have definitely explained it a bit more in the original post and also mentioned that this method only works for the Adapt X e30 not other e30 tunes. If there is anything following this forum for the last couple years has taught me its to do my homework and double check almost everything that I do to my car.

You guys have a crazy amount of knowledge and I respect how much you help almost all of the people on this forum. Only people that don't get help are people that won't help themselves.

Do not do this. Every tank of fuel, your overall ethanol content is increasing. I wouldn't be surprised if your tank content was e50 or e60 because of this.

It's one thing to blindly assume percentage at the pump (I've done this, but didn't plan to run e30 long term) but to not do the quick math on a calculator is reckless.

Typically my fillups from around 25% fuel level would be around 2.1 to 2.4 gallons of e85.
he's fine, you'd be surprised how hard it is to get over E35. our mix instructions are perfect. 1 gallon of e85 per 1/4 tank of 91/93 gas. so if you are on 93, add 4 gallons and top off. if you are half a tank of e30, add 2 gallons of e85 and top off and if you are 1/4 tank and on e30, add 3 gallons e85 and top off 93.

It always comes out near perfect.

Bumping this thread because I'm still obsessed with my car/how it drives now with the adapt-x tune and want to talk about it.

Everything still running smoothly; gas mileage is down a bit due to driving spiritedly (when safe to do so) much more often than I did pre-tune.

Latest fun drive was out into the hills where all the millionaires live en route to some good singletrack. I was kind of late to the party learning that the dead pedal is actually very useful for bracing yourself through corners so I've really been able to increase the g-forces and feel the suspension load up through them. Then having gobs of torque upon exit...just way too much fun.

Adapt-x e30 tune is still on the table for the near future, would love to hear some more recent experiences with it if anyone's got any.

good stuff. I love waking up and seeing a review. makes my day.

Can't say enough good things about the e30 tune, especially when you actually spend the time to let the car learn. The extra torque is so much fun, and you feel thr extra power getting on the freeway and having the overtake power switching lanes is great. So smooth.

I've been running this Adapt-X tune since late last year with no problem whatsoever. Recently I had an issue that looked like a battery charging problem and I suspect it was caused by water in the AGS connector, but it threw a few codes. Once I removed the water and corrosion from the connector and sealed it up in a way to prevent the problem from reoccurring, I cleared the codes but now I see my OAR is at -0.50 instead of the -1.00 where it has been for many months. I've been using the same fuel the entire time (93 octane from Costco). I tried relearning the OAR several times (slight uphill third gear pull) but it's stuck at -.50. Am I doing something wrong, or am I being impatient and it takes time to relearn?

I usually use 5th gear for longer time-periods at around 5-6 psi boost & adequate load for the ign. learning to stay at +4 as long as possible. A typical good 'pull' like that will bump the OAR from -.5 to -.72 or something. Then just do that a few times as needed. Even some 6th gear gradual acceleration on the hwy has shown good learning potential.

It shouldn't take too long, but personally I don't usually get back to -1.00 in the same day unless that's all I'm focusing on while driving around. 🤷‍♂️

5th gear pulls for me too. Makes it even easier if you have a slight incline to load up. I slowly roll into the pedal keeping boost at 5–10psi and gradually add throttle to keep load on it.

Ah- OK. Thanks for the advice! I got the car to -1.00 without too much trying- but that was back in October of last year- so I might not be recalling exactly how I did it. This is the first time that the OAR has been at any reading other than -1.00 since it got there last year. Did clearing codes have any part in the change? What are some causes of such a change? I try to use the same fuel (93 Octane) from the same station (Costco), but maybe there was some difference in the fuel perhaps?

I don't think I could own this car without this forum. Thanks so, so much!

This is extremely helpful. I'll have to do this in the middle of the night, here is congested NJ. 5th gear at 6psi of boost and above 3,000 rpm is going to be over 100mph.

You unhooked your battery im assuming? That clears your KAM after a certain amount of time. So it’s like resetting your ECU. Or you actually reset your ECU or reset your KAM inside the AP. All of them are in the same area for clearing codes.

I go from like 40-70. You don’t need to break the law. Find an incline and it’s easier as well.

Huh- well I replaced my battery about a month and a half ago, and I did it taking extreme care to not disturb the BJB, or the BMS sensor on the negative battery cable. My OAR was still at -1.00 after the new battery was installed- so the values were not erased as a result. A week later I had this intermittent battery light showing up, with codes P065B, P065C and U012D- so I assumed that had to do with the battery (or the dash cam I hardwired in a few weeks earlier than the battery install) since there was no battery light before replacing the battery. I also used oil-impregnated battery washers and battery terminal stray (per the advice of certified pros here in this forum) so I went and removed the battery terminals a last week and cleaned them (as well as the BMS sensor, thinking maybe my codes were a result of the BMS sensor getting battery terminal protectant spray in it... first time I've used it- so not too sure about how to use it), so I was looking for reasons why the network communication was getting interrupted). Perhaps that is when the reset happened and I didn't notice on my AP3.

I found a substantial amount of water trapped in the AGS connector "protection" that I came up with (as you may recall in my other thread about that topic). Once I cleaned the connector- the battery light went away, and I cleared the codes at SSgt recommended. The only thing I have to do now are a few careful 5th gear pulls to get my OAR back to -1.00. Just wanted to make sure that I wasn't doing anything wrong to trigger that change, so thank you for confirming.

Clearing the DTC's also resets the KAM. Sort of a pain in that respect, but been there done that, lol. Also, I'm not trying to get you ripping down the hwy man! With that little bit of boost and load you're not really endangering the engine, and should be good from around 55 mph slowly accelerates the pull up to whatever is safe. IDK your area, but the longer you can keep the ign corrections in that positive reading state the better. I think I recall that a single negative correction will reset that pull, just FYI if you are still having trouble getting better values.

I did this today, and it worked immediately. 5th gear, going around 55mph, and gave it enough throttle to push 5 to 7 psi of boost, and held it there on a slight incline for as long as I could (which in NJ isn't long, at least not during the day). That got me from -.50 to -.68, and I stopped to vote, then took the long way home to try another 5th gear burst, and it went to -.99. It'll go to -1.00 eventually, but thank you so much for the great advice!
