Curious to know if you can disable front driver and passenger seat airbags

Curious as to why you would want to do that?

Can anyone confirm the setting to remove double honk when car is running and doors closed.
I don't think anyone has been able to do it, at least from what I have seen. Or.........just buy and early 2013 like mine and you don't have that issue.

I would assume for working in the dash and for track days... airbags are dangerous and un-needed if you have a 4 point harness

darn :(

yeah that isn't a option, not even jokingly a option... lol

Anyone know how to start the car in Sport Mode... I would love to not have to hit to sport mode button every time I start my car
Yeah I'd pay to not have to hit the damn sport button every time.

Mine is a day or two after that.

Curious as to what part houses the double honk feature.

Theoretical concept idea: Say your 12' build and my 12' build are both identical in features such as both ST2 with no sunroof and other doodads. So if the BCM houses the double honk feature, I wonder if you took a copy of my car's BCM configuration and loaded it into yours would the honk go away since all other physical features would be identical.

You should go here and compare your VIN parameters compared to mine and see what is different. I'll send you my VIN# if you want. As-Built Editor Ford Focus III

Mine may have been updated also since I had the occasional dash screen freeze. I do have the ST boot screen which I did not when the car was brand new.

Yes you do need to enable it. I have the same setup.

For adding a roll cage and installing different seats with a 4 pt harness. Don't want to deal with the light on the dash or the passenger light on.

Makes sense, I did disable the TPMS for some track friends here.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't using the As-built editor a waste of time? Since you can simply click "Read BCM" in the FoCCCus app while plugged into your car to get all the values straight from your car.

(Unless you are for some reason wanting to revert to stock and don't want to manually change values back)

That was the conclusion I came to. I read the module and saved a backup of the stock configuration in case I ever needed it.

Sorry if this is a repeat and who knows how old this thread is.

I'm new, I got all the software and cables etc. I followed what you posted as well as what I found on YouTube, but my software hits 92% and gives me a freaking error! =(

It's really irritating me. It says VBF checksum error. It says this when I try and read to BCM & write to BCM!

Please help me! I'm at a loss as to what to do! =(

Thank you so much in advance!

Nate
