DP bracket bushings shot

Had my car up on a lift today looking at some other things and noticed that my stock DP bracket is out of commission. I've been running a COBB DP for quite a while. I read through some older threads in regards to whether this bracket is even necessary with an aftermarket DP. It seems the stock DP required it because it was heavy and flexed too much. Should I replace this or just remove it completely?

Welcome to the club! RebelDevilCustoms is a vendor on the forum and sells polyurethane replacements. I had the exact same issue with my downpipe, and their bushings solved the issue immediately.

I'd seen that they made one. Glad to hear from someone that has it installed.

Very common problem in the ST community, mine is rattling around like crazy.

I bought a new OEM bracket, they're only $15 through the dealership, only problem is I know the rubber mounts will just tear again over time. I'm currently trying to come up with an idea to make it more durable before I put it on.

The RDC one is nice and would certainly solve the issue, but it's tough to justify $90 for it, especially for us budget minded modders.

I'm fixing to drop money on a new PSMM and TMM so if I can do this on the cheap that would be great. I think somebody modified a VW bracket or something a while back cuz they were a little more robust.

I finally got my exhaust lined up properly and everything quit rattling and then my DP bracket ripped and went back to rattling. I was getting ready to do something about it but I installed my trailer hitch and it spaced the exhaust down about 1/4" and everything quit rattling. So I'm not touching anything. Seems like moving the tailpipes down that much put less stress on the bracket but I haven't been under to verify.

How long have you had the RDC one installed? No signs of failing?
