I made an account just to respond to this, my 15 FoST has also been having the misfire code issue and I am, for the time being, content with waiting for the solution whatever that might be.

In regards to the service manager losing his **** on you I think this puts you in a unique situation especially given you have some of it on video. Im not going to lie, I would be so totally irate and pissed off if this happened to me after dealing for months at getting my brand new car fixed. Especially considering throughout the whole experience you often spoke highly of the dealer in question despite no solution being found. If it were me, I would attempt to start a gigantic **** tornado, armed with the video along with your service statements showing how often you brought the car in I would contact Jalopnik, local news stations and any other pertinent news organizations. At the very least I would report your experience to Ford. Having the cops called on you because your inquiring about the status of a vehicle you own and are having continued issues with is not acceptable. Not to mention the fact that he threatened to put the car back together in an un-finished state which I am sure violates industry regulations of some kind.

Sorry for the rambling but I am angry on your behalf haha

That is insane. Now if/when something else goes wrong with the car you will have to go to a different dealer? I would try to complete to buy back. You have spent far too much time and patience on that car.

The buyback is why I went to the dealer in the first place today. In the paperwork from Ford, it says to contact the dealer about the buy back.

God only knows whats going to happen with that whole procedure now.

I got screamed at and told multiple times that they're not going to fix my car.

"Nope! I don't' care if it's fixed or not! I'll call Trofiligio (?), I'll call Ford!"

and

"Put the car together! I am not working on it! I'll Call Nick Mason (?), everyone at Ford Motor Company!!"

And now after all that, I'm supposed to believe that they're going to change their attitude, complete the repair properly and deliver me my car in full working order?

I don't feel good about it at all.

Thanks for registering and joining this party :)

I've been working a lot with Ford regional customer service (who has been very good) and I notified them about the disaster that took place this afternoon.

I'm desperately hoping they can resolve this because man... this is awful. I'm legitimately sick about what is going to happen with my car now that the dealership is acting this way.

Wow, what a **** dealer... that's f ing ridiculous!

I would like to point out to everyone who is pissed off at this dealer for who he treated AK (including me) that ford does not own the dealerships, and this is not the way ford wants to do business(I assume) time to have a tow truck bring your vehicle to another dealer for the repair

I feel your pain man, I am a pretty empathetic person and reading that post legitimately angered me knowing the saga that your cars been on. Especially cause we are all having the same problem and I know I wouldn't have been able to restrain myself at the dealer had it happened to me. Keep your chin up and keep us updated, if all else fails maybe you can sue and get an RS out of it ;)

Damn AK sucks to hear.. Not sure about your state but get a lawyer involved. In California, buyback lawyers are 100% paid for by the car manufacturer.. You have a strong case for your buyback and then some.. for the way you were treated.

Havent visited this thread in a while... Ford has my buyback check and im just waiting to make the exchange for my misfire affected '15 ST1... Im stuck between getting a 16 ST2 or a 2017 GTI Sport
Given all the BS Ford gave you, I'd look at the VW. But I understand the turbo lag at low speeds on those suck. Hope I have better luck with my ST.
Yea Dave, I test drove the GTI and I still am partial to my ST's quicker clutch and turbo. The VW has a much better interior/features but idk... I get a general sense that the '16 ST's are less likely to have the CEL issue and my Ford dealer says they are receiving one of the last/recently made ST2's for me and hopefully its from a good batch, lol.

Any word on 2017 ST?

Had same issue, after looking at it the dealer said Ford is aware of this problem and they are investigating the cause of this false code. There were no mis-fires at all. They cleared the code. That's it for now I guess?
Exactly

That's good. That is precisely the way this issue should be handled.

The fact that you didn't get replacement parts thrown at your car is a very positive thing.

They did replace the cylinder head.

They never told me why they were doing it or how it could solve the problem.

Why did they do it even though they are buying back the car? In Ford's words- they are committed to fixing my car even though I am having it bought back.

So I am also receiving this P0300 misfire code along with P0245, P0034 and P0446. They had found a wire sliced open on the rear wire-harness where the seat folds with some steel showing and are trying to say one of my tools fell behind it and cause that entire issue. So not covered under warranty. Speaking with Shop foreman as to why he thinks thats even possible. First tried to blame it on my 90LB floor jack saying it bounced and caused damage but that is some pretty sturdy foam around the spare. i know P0245, P0034 pertain to the turbo, but could it actually be that the parts are bad or that its just a short in the system due to one exposed wire they don't wanna fix till i pay up? I will post pictures once i can email them to myself.

TBH id have had lemon law goin (have not read all 80 pages of posts) at about 25 days, but lemon law in NV is 30 days in shop.

Well I started my ST this morning and cringed when the CEL came on. This time I have the P0301 (Cylinder 1 misfire) and the P0316 codes. I think I am going to have to take my ST to the dealer. I am still waiting on my gap tool to come in today so I can check my plugs and see if that is the issue. I just have little to no faith the Ford can fix my car considering everything I have seen on here. I also doubt they will give me a loaner car which I can't afford to rent a car so that will make things problematic.
I feel they spliced my harness wires in the back of the hatch just to keep from doing the work. Now, this has not been proven but a theory. I have not carried anything that would slice a wire and small enough to fit under the folding seat

Since the weather has been cool and raining today, I haven't had my check engine light on for the past week. It always turns off when I wash my car and usually in the morning or later that night it will come back on. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the weather still or not

Hi All,

for months I have been having this problem. Random misfire errors and engine light on, almost every week. 3 weeks ago, I went to the shop for 15k miles regular maintenance and they performed the SSM 45788 Crankshaft Position Sensor Relearn. My understanding is that this is essentially a software update/reprogram. For now, it looks that the problem went away and did not appear again.

I will keep you all updated, but let's hope this is the fix.

Good luck!
