Hello to all, newbie here (just joined forum).
About a month ago I did my third oil change on my Ingot silver ST3 (10,000 miles). Afterwards I did Oil change service reset holding both brake and gas pedal down untill prompted from a small cluster screen with engine off. The car felt sharp, throttle response was spot-on, linear and car did'nt have any slack in the drivetrain when changing gears at lower rpm's. At first I thought it was new oil doing its magic but then I remembered that every time I changed the oil before, I did the reset procedure. So after about 1000 miles and about 100 cold start-up cycles I can confirm that doing this simple procedure does reset something; either short or long term fuel maps, or a throttle position sensor. I came from 2010 MK6 gti with APR stg2 where I had option to reset throttle body position sensor before every start up and I could feel that car needed it every 5-6 driving cycles to stay running top notch. My nissan 350Z also had procedure where you had to depress gas pedal 7-9 times in sequence with yellow blinking lightin the dash before start-up and car runned super-good every single time. Wodering if this is indeed our TPS reset solution? Any thoughts?
procedure:Basically you press start engine button acc. mode without starting engine
press and hold both gas and brake pedal, untill prompted that Oil Service reset is complete
Release brake and gas pedal, start the car...drive!!
