Ive got a 2016 ST, I put on a new set of wheels and tires with new tpms installed. I bought the tpms learning tool to be on the safe side, but I cannot get the car to go into learn mode. I put it in acc and hit the hazard button 6 times in 5 seconds but no horn or screen. Any ideas?

Try this method:

Turn ignition to OFF position and press and release brake pedal.
Cycle (or press) ignition from OFF to RUN position 3 times, ending in RUN
position. (Press start button down for 2 seconds, release, then tap once)
Press and release brake pedal.
Turn ignition to OFF position
Cycle ignition from OFF to RUN position 3 times, ending in RUN position.
Horn will sound once and TPMS telltale will blink when train mode is
entered. If equipped with message center, it will display TRAIN LF TIRE
Starting at LF tire, use scan tool to activate sensor. Place
scan tool 180 degrees from valve stem.
Repeat step 4 for RF, RR, and LR, in a clock-wise fashion.
After LR sensor has been learned, turn ignition to "OFF" position.
**If the horn sounds when the ignition is turned OFF, you must train again.

The method elky864 mentions puts my 2018 ST in learn mode. However in my case, the dealer TPMS reader and a tire shop TPMS reader would not pick up the OEM TPMS sensors in my replacement wheels/tires. However, in my case I just kept driving the car and the TPMS light has never come on. So it appears my 2018 self learned a new set of TPMS sensors without having to manually train each wheel.

If you're using OEM TPMS, try driving with them for 50 or so miles and see if the TPMS will self learn.

If you have a discount tire near by, they may help you.

I put on a set of oem snowflake wheels that had been sitting for a while and the car gave me the TPMS warning light despite the wheels having full pressure and tpms installed. I went by Discount Tire, told them "hey, my tpms light is on even though my tires are full... whats up?". The guy went outside with a learning tool, it took him about 2 minutes and everything was good. No charge.

I know this is old but I have the same EXACT issue. I can't seem to get into retrain mode. One of my sensors broke i bought a new one but I can't even get the car to enter the TMPS training mode. At first I thought maybe my tune was interfering so i unmarried my AP, no change. It's a 2014 ST. I also having had the body control module recall done yet either so possibly that could be an issue. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

I don't have an answer, but I wanted to tell you my experience was the same and I have a suspicion...
I originally had a '13 ST. I had to put new TPMS in it when I got it (used) and then also coughed up a set of Blizzaks and second set of snowflakes for winter rigging (again, new TPMS in the wheels as well). I bought TWO tools to do it because the do-it-yourself procedure wouldn't work. The first one was the Ford tool (the little gray box with the green button), I also got another one of Amazon for like 20 bucks because the Ford too flat would NOT work on it. Well, the other tool wouldn't work either. I finally took it to Ford because I thought something was busted, and when I picked it up they were like "yea we just had to train it again".
I then bought a brand new '18 ST and when I added the winter wheels, BAM.. first try.
Here's my theory (maybe a real Ford guy can weigh in here)... the car can only store 8 TPMS addresses total, my '13 already had the originals, then the new ones I put in, then my winter wheels wouldn't read in no matter what. I suspect the dealer did something to clear out the list somehow. If they did, I don't know hwo they did it, nor can I cannot find any posted method anywhere for doing that... not to mention, this is only a theory.
Maybe someone can tell me how wrong I am... but if I am, the problem is even more baffling. It drove me nuts trying to fix it.
