Have you tried that factory reset in sync?

 

no I have not, that seems like a worthwhile approach. mine is a ST 2012 , do you know how to factory reset? is it in one of the standard menus? thanks

The Bluetooth receiver in the head unit has either failed or is failing. The reset always works for me. Have you tried a different phone just to make sure? Did you have a software update for your phone recently?

 

I am just trying to delete a phone from the list, does a faulty receiver have this symptom of being unable to delete a phone?

 

A master reset should erase all previously connected devices.

Did a quick search and appears that the some of the Fiesta owners have a similar issue from time to time.

Their solution was to pull the fuse for the sync system for 20 to 30 seconds. While I don't think there's a huge difference between your 2012 and our 2013 but I don't want to guess.

Grab your owners manual and look at the fuse chart. That's all I've got left to suggest.

There have been a few times where my phone won't connect to Bluetooth at all and the fuse pulling fixes the issue. I just leave it unplugged until I need to drive again next and then plug it back in.

Would disconnecting the battery wipe the memory if left unplugged long enough?
