has anyone looked at the wiring or the computer to see if the windows can be easily changed to work just by pressing the button? This is typically the first mod I do to a car and before the fancy computers it was easy. Usually you just change the fuse input from ignition to something always on.

this is particularly useful when it starts raining or when you get into the car after work and it's been baking in the sun.

Thanks.

In a word, no, there is no simple way to do this.

Everything in this car is digital. The window switches send request packets to the BCM, which then controls the windows by sending data packets over a local digital bus to the window regulators.

As you can see from how this operates, there isn't a simple wiring change that can ensure the switches can always energize the window motors regardless of the car power setting.

No, this would require coding changes to the BCM firmware.
