Does anyone have staining issues with the side window seals/rubber trim? My ST3 is only 8 months old, and already it has gone from black to a hideous gunky brown/green. Are there any products I could get to fix it (maybe Back to Black?)??

Clean it first...

I use Adam's All Purpose Cleaner.

Cars 3 and a half years old and still black.

I haven't had any issues with staining or discoloring. However, I do have excessive wind noise coimg from the front driver side door and B pillar. I can drown it out with music, but it's still pretty annoying if I'm listening to a podcast or having a conversation in the car.

My car is a year old and I have these stains on my rubber door belt molding. They look like something ran down from the top of the car. I am going to use some type of rubber/plastic cleaner on them. Not sure what the cause is.

I don't have any staining, but my car is brand new not even a month old but the window moldings already looked 3 years old. Definitely not the same quality that was on my Mustang. These aren't as black and seem to mark up much easier.

My 2013; I get some spotting, but I usually run the tire black sponge over it after washing and they always look nice.

I've used Adam's VRT on them but I end up with it streaking down the paint when it rains. I'm thinking i'm applying too much. I've also used 1Z Einzett Gummi Pflege but the applicator makes it somewhat difficult to use.

After a thorough cleaning, I treat them with the same synthetic LSP I use on the paint, Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax. I just do them at the same time I wax the car. They stay black and resist stains, and the synthetic stuff doesn't make them brown like old wax used to.

Adams VRT would be right about at the bottom of my list of recommended products for this, I threw out 1/2 of a bottle of the stuff because it disappears without a trace at even the slightest hint of water. My advice would be to use a cotton terry towel and some APC to clean the trim (you can mix it pretty strong) and then apply 303 Aerospace Protectant. I've been using this process on both my ST and my SVTf since I got them and the window trim on both is almost as glossy and as clean as the paint and it will last for weeks even through rain and normal washing.

What is APC? All purpose cleaner?

Also, updated original post with photos of my craptastic windows.

All purpose cleaner. I've been using that purple power stuff from Walmart, it's cheap and strong.
