I had to take the spare tire and foam cargo support out of the bottom, but I was able to fit an extra large capacity Samsung dryer in the hatch for transporting from Home Depot to my house. If we had loaded it with the bottom of the dryer towards the front, it likely would have gone in a bit further. But the control panel on the dryer was the sticking point for getting it to slide in any further. I put some neck pillows around the edges of the dryer to ensure it didn't damage the hatch or rear glass. I also drove with the sunroof and side windows partially open to ensure any exhaust gases flowing back into the hatch didn't cause a safety concern.
