I had to take the spare tire and foam cargo support out of the bottom, but I was able to fit an extra large capacity Samsung dryer in the hatch for transporting from Home Depot to my house. If we had loaded it with the bottom of the dryer towards the front, it likely would have gone in a bit further. But the control panel on the dryer was the sticking point for getting it to slide in any further. I put some neck pillows around the edges of the dryer to ensure it didn't damage the hatch or rear glass. I also drove with the sunroof and side windows partially open to ensure any exhaust gases flowing back into the hatch didn't cause a safety concern.

So feel free to use your Focus to get your new appliances* home!
*Refrigerators may be an exception... :D

Interesting....but I would've spent the 20.00 to rent their truck for an hour.

But that's me.

I did fit my 60' Vizio in there though.

Renting the HD truck was my backup plan if it didn't fit. But since it did, I saved time and money. Almost like a Geico commercial!

Electric or natural gas? :) Next time we want to see a washer in the Trans Am!
Natural gas. Actually, with the top down on the Firehawk, the cargo capacity is nearly unlimited! :D
