Interesting so it's somewhat a band-aidCombat knock without an intercooler. That's all.
Second question, it's not necessarily better but different. Different philosophy to power delivery. Kind of like each tuner does it a little different.
Well it just helps to combat the heat soak that comes with the stock FMIC.Interesting so it's somewhat a band-aid
I wouldn't call it a band aide but more a solution to a problem. They had to solve the problem of knock without a upgraded IC.Interesting so it's somewhat a band-aid
Yeah, you won't have issues .. you can't put in a DP though with FRPP, you'll throw a CELso if you get FRPP then add a bigger FMIC - then the stage 2 plugs are just not needed? or just insurance at that point?
I ran a 200 cell catted downpipe and vibrant defoulerwith the frpp tune for about 10k miles. No cel and no issues. The octane academy st cars all had catless downpipes and intercoolers on the frpp tunes and those all ran fine as well. You won't make any extra power but it can be doneYeah, you won't have issues .. you can't put in a DP though with FRPP, you'll throw a CEL
If you decide to go custom tune route down the line just let your tuner know you have FRPP plugs and they'll be able to adjust tune for it (in a good way)
Nice!!Cobb did a pretty comprehensive write-up about the FRPP tune and the 2-step colder plugs when it 1st was released.
They determined it was to protect the stock cat.

Mountune says the MP275/MR300 and Randy's tune are just fine on the stock heat plugs. Steeda and Unleashed both recommended one step.
True! With defouler you'd be fine.I ran a 200 cell catted downpipe and vibrant defoulerwith the frpp tune for about 10k miles. No cel and no issues. From what I've come to understand - every 75Hp Increase go one step colder on the plugsReading through the Stratified tech articles, they alsp talk about a step colder plugs being useful on modified cars.
