The diesel already exists in Europe, we will never get it here and actually is like 8 seconds 0-60. 6.5 for the gas ST sounds right though.
I am aware... but I want to burn coal! I would assume it will never come state side but hopeful!

The sleek dashboard will reportedly boast a "new state-of-the-art paddle shifter system"? Does this mean an available dual clutch transmission for the ST, or did I miss that it's already offered?

No, that's the first I've heard of any kind of automatic in an ST. This article seems a little slipshod, I think the author may have gotten some of the Focus models mixed up.

Yeah, that's probably what it is. It would likely be a money maker for Ford, to offer all Focus models with a high quality, performance paddle shifter, for people who never learned how to shift and those who just don't like shifting. Hopefully Ford would also do any transmission upgrading necessary to insure reliability with the extra h/p and torque of the ST.

P.S. Just never stop offering manual transmissions!

Rollingout.com is website that according them "provides black celebrity news, entertainment, business and politics" I highly doubt it's information that really should be held in high regard...

They may sell more by offering flappy paddles, but I like the exclusivity of having to know how to drive a manual. Kudos to Ford for making the ST manual only so far.

Saw that too; didn't feel like the author was too knowledgeable, but wanted to know if anyone could corroborate the rumors regarding the diesel/ auto trans.
