The winter tire thread seems to go on forever, don't even want to try sorting through it all. So I guess I'll just come out and ask. Will 225/45/18 winter tires mount on my extra set of factory 18" snowflake wheels, or will there be issues with rubbing or anything else? It seems to me that I'd like a slightly narrower and taller winter tire. Just would like to know what would work. Thanks in advance.

The tires you specify will be .6" taller than stock tires, and should fit without any issue. Do keep in mind that your speedo will read 2.4% low, and your ABS and TC may not work correctly. They probably will work just fine, but they might not.

It's recommended that you use the smallest wheel that'll clear the brakes for winter tires. A 215/50/17 tire is only .4% taller than stock and will give much better bite in the snow. I know you already have the wheels but it's just something to consider.
