Awesome. You have a collectors item now, since I no longer make them. <img src="http://www.focusst.org/forum/images/smilies/smile.png" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />
When I was looking at this, plan B was the Suspension Techniques bar.
Damn you. Soooo how much? Hehe. I guess I’ll check around and see what all the other options look like. Thanks for the alternative.

I'm also running the ST bar. Picked it up on Amazon a while back when they had it priced it under $100 (I'm guessing to get the last one out of the warehouse).
Amazon shows only 5 in stock now and there's no discount, so it looks to me like they'll be NLA soon now that the FoST is out of production. Makes me consider if I should stockpile a kit for going to STH because other essential go-fast parts will become NLA.

When I bought it in January 2018, it was the last one in stock at that time. I figured they would restock after that.

If you do decide to make the jump into STH, make sure you get a diff. I think we've chatted about this before, but since I went almost full tilt on my STH build, being open diff is kind of a setback for this car's full potential.

For anyone interested, the majority of my GS setup is for sale (custom front struts, koni yellow rears, Cobb RSB, 17x8 wheels):

Of course what we REALLY want to know is what comes next? ;-)

If you'd done this last year, I'd be all over it. Alas, I've already got mine now. Those are good prices for anyone who needs it!

Heh, CAMT is calling. Spent the last year getting the suspension and chassis fabrication work done on an 81 Camaro. Nationals this year was only the 2nd event on it. Fairly long list for the off-season, but should be able to run a full season next year. RWD + 19x12 wheels and 305 RE-71R's all around is addicting!

^- one of my favorite bad ideas is a Solstice GXP for CAM-S. Cheap to buy, tons of them out there, skinnier than a C5, could fit a 285 in the front in stock class back in the day, tunable turbo engine.. etc etc.

My setup so far:
  • 2016 ST3
  • 17x8 Moda MD22s w/ 245-40-17 RE71R (Note that these tires were purchased for my Evo back in 2015, lol)
  • 28 / 25 psi. Reading the thread this might be low..
  • Stranoparts rear swaybar on full soft
  • OE alignment: -1.0 / -1.2 front, -1.5 / -2.2 rear
Going into last Saturday I had only done 10 autox runs in the last 3 years. 8 of those were in the FoST. So as of now, I've done 3 events in the car, all the same setup. Saturday I got to do 9 runs (which turned into 11 sort of) and by the time the last few runs came around, I had finally started to get used to driving it. It took me a little while to get comfortable getting on the gas early enough after pitching the car into the corner. Generally not unwinding the wheel fast enough. This was my fastest raw time, but +3.

I'm not exactly confident in the car, just starting to have a clue what it takes to make it go fast. Danny Kao was there in an not-full-prep STH car which was a GS car pretty recently and he had me covered by like 3 seconds so I have a ways to go for sure. In June we had a 17 car field at Fedex and I finished 2nd, 2.3 seconds behind Andy Thomas, another great benchmark to shoot for.

For next year
  • I picked up JMcD's shocks. I'm not sure when I'll get around to getting them on. This is my DD and who knows whether winter is going to suck or not so they might not go on the car until more like March.
  • Perhaps a more ratchet-strappy alignment
  • Fresh 255-40-17 somethings. TBD depending on tire wars. Something not purchased in 2015.
  • Pads & fluid. I kept wondering why the car smelled like clutch after I came back until my last run (which was a hot lap, since it was a rerun at the end of the heat) and remembered the whole e-diff thing and that it wasn't clutch..
