Just curious...even with the seat heat turned on, does it require a person (e.g. weight) in the seat before it will actually turn on?

No problems with the heat, but I noticed this morning after letting the car warm up (and the seat heat turned on) that when I got in, the seat was still super cold. Didn't know if I didn't wait long enough or if it required the person in the seat to kick on...kinda like the airbag function.

I don't think it's weight dependent, I've turned it on to keep takeout warm before and IIRC the seat did heat up.

No, it just takes longer than you realize for it to get warm. Sitting in it seems faster because YOUR heat warms the surface up while the coils, or whatever system it uses, gets warm in the seat. It takes probably 15+ minutes to get warm.
