Useful Preset SCT Logging Parameters

This was discussed more in detail in some other threads, but I wanted to start the ball rolling on a thread where SCT users can share and discuss logging parameter files. Obviously the AP users have a pretty good base of knowledge with tuners sharing information, but some of these logging parameters don't always directly transfer over to the SCT system.

I will be looking into what are useful parameters to be logging, but I encourage others to add their thoughts here as well. Hopefully we can develop a shared logging parameters file that will as closely match what AP users are doing.

I think most of us have the file from Torrie, but with my x4, logging 29 parameters is quite a bit and my datazaps are not very smooth. I've whittled mine down based on my logs thread but I'd really like to see it reach parity with the AP in terms of PIDS logged. Only issue right now is I'd like to see the list solidified so we're all using the same PID list then we can do things like create a template or something to make vdyno outputs equal to the AP as well. Otherwise every SCT user will likely have their own flavor of log and vdyno and they'll be much more difficult to compare.

This post might be a good starting point? http://www.focusst.org/forum/data-logs/22361-imitation-s-logs.html#post459072

So its just for fantasy dyno then? Lol I thought you needed the pids for data logging for tuning.

I'd say it's for both. Having pids on parity with the AP users lets us more easily compare logs via datazap first. Then once we have listing that's close or the same, we could put together a template to translate your csv's into something more usable for vdyno.

I would like to have a list of PIDs, what it's for and if it's applicable to the ST. Some of them are applicable but not useful. Would like to then maybe have the equivalent for AP as stated above.

This is some of what I was logging when I'm not using Torrie's file:

ambient air
fuel pump percentage
fuel source
intake air temp2 F (Always -40 to be removed)
Intake cam position desired
knock retard
knock sensor (Always 0 to be removed)
lambse bank 1
manifold absolute pressure kpa
max airflow inj max
max torque
measured afr bank 1
rpm
run time
spark advance
throttle angle actual
throttle angle desired
tip prs boost kpa
tip prs boost kpa dsd
total misfires
turbo wastegate percentage
vehicle speed mph

Yeah that was old but I figured if someone wanted to copy the text. I remember having to type it all out.

Here's the list I whittled torrie's down from:

accel pedal position D
CAC
desired TIP
engine coolent temp F
frp mpa dsd
load
manifold abs pressure kpa
measured afr bank 1
rpm
spark adv
spark ignition 1
spark ignition 2
spark ignition 3
spark ignition 4
throttle angle actual
turbo bypass valve

What I think we really need to do is pull some of the csv's from AP users and try to line ours up. Right now I'm just guessing.
