Wassup St family, well i just recently purchased a 13 ST3 and I love it. Great power from factory and just great fun all around. I now have some questions on tuning since this is the first thing I want to do to my car. All my previous experience comes from my Good ol Honda days. From my experience you would get your ECU and have it chipped and then Dyno tuned or street tuned depending on your budget. Now I see the Cobb and SCT tuners and wonder if they are as good? Is this the only option for these cars? Also the over the counter tunes that they sell, whats up with that? I dont believe tunes are one size fits all as every car is different. Am I looking at it the wrong way? If I where to get a cobb v3 what does it include? A factory tune? what if I want a more aggressive tune? Any and all info would be great. Ive read threads here and there but I guess i still need clarification on it. I guess im just use to having my tuner work on my until we get it right, the face to face interaction i guess.

Dude, check out the Unleashed Tuning thread in this forum. I just unleashed my 2015 and it is amazing. His customer service is TOP notch (like replies within minutes). The thread is like 600 pages long but it sold me on the tune and I couldn't be happier. You can log and send to him and revise revise revise to your wants and needs. He uses SCT and if you buy the device through him you get the custom tuning free. AWESOME!!!

I ran Torrie's tune on my last ST, running Panda on the one I have now.

Frankly, within reason an e-tune can be just as good as a dyno tune. You're getting more real world air flow and driving conditions with e-tune which is a plus. Also you can tweak the driving habit of the car as well.

You can't go wrong with Unleashed, I was quite happy with my 93 and e30 tunes from him.

Panda has been good so far too, my ST came with a 93 tune from then, when Matt was doing their tuning. I'm now in the middle of revisions on an e30 tune with Panda's new tuner Troy, he's a nice guy and the tune PULLS. I'll admit, if may pull just as hard with Torries, it's been long enough since I drove my last ST with Torrie's e30 that I can't give a reliable apples apples comparison.

I think you'd be happy with any of the reputable tuners on here, just make sure you get an e30 tune on top of your pump tune, it's worth it!

What power are you putting down with your tune? What mods

So...

93 pump gas tune:
-cobb FMIC (it's not THAT great, I get 10* CAT increase during pulls, there's cheaper FMICs that perform better)
-Cobb intake tube and filter
-Rousch intake cover
-Cobb high flow DP and Cobb catback
-Breedt intake mani spacer
-1 step colder plugs

I put this down:

I haven't done a dyno run on my e30 as I'm in revisions, if I can gain 15 hp/tq I'd be pretty happy.

So you're realistically pushing 3xx whp. Thats pretty darn good. Got me a little excited lol.
