Ok im looking to get tuned and was wondering what everyones preferences are. Im stuck between stratified and panda. So far all i have is a cobb intake and turbosmart bov. Im planning on turbo back exhaust before i order my cobb ap v3 and im wanting to get an e30 tune. So whats everyones experience with stratified and panda?

I have never worked with panda but I know Stratified is good to work with and so is DHM who I am working with now. Give them a call or send them a message they will be more than happy to talk to you, but there are tons of posts on here for you to search through and help you form an opinion for your self.

I went with stratified for the stage tunes and e30. They were great and are the best bang for the buck.

I went with Tune+ Lifetime for my big turbo setup. For $300 you get unlimited reflashes, fuel maps, and and updates. Adam also has some of the best customer service. He never took more than a day to reply.

Thats good to hear. I emailed panda and they said to do pump gas instead of e30 since im not going fmic yet. But when i do the tunes im ordering the ap v3 through that company. I email stratified this morning but all ive heard is great things from them.

when i got my car, i heard about Stratified, Panda, and DHM, I tried calling all three, Stratified was the only one to pick up. They have been great with me, ive bought 6 maps or so from them. none with any issues.

That said, im sure you cant go wrong with any of them, all three have great reps in the ST world.

I also agree, while you may gain some more power, with out a better IC your just getting to heat soak faster. at minimum id look into a depo 3.5" intercooler before catback. you may not have the noise but youll have a way more efficient system to keep the charge temps down and the power there.

If I could do it all over again I'd go stratified. Seems like everyone else is lacking on returning emails/phone calls.

The lack of response is why I didn't go with stratified. TBH I have a few gripes about their Custom Tuning which is why I went with Adamtuned. Stratified took the longest, over a week, to get back to my initial questions before purchasing a tune. On top of that you pay extra for each fuel map and they charge for future upgrades and changes to the custom tune.

With Adam tuned, he never took longer than a day. I had updates for each tune waiting in my inbox everyday after lunch. I get unlimited upgrades, reflashes, and maps for my car. The only thing that worried me was that Stratified has proven themselves on the ST platform where Adam focused mainly on the mustangs and now the RS. But with recommendations from other BT STs here in Texas area, I tried him out and I have been happy since.

If I had to do it all over again, I would probably get his package from the get go, because this includes stock turbo to big turbo upgrades. I always planned on getting to this point and I plan on going further. So looking back on it, this would have been the best option for me if it was available. You have the option of purchasing his unlimited package and never paying again for a tune all they way to big turbo. The only way you need to purchase a tune again is if you go aux fueling or a meth tune. This is by far the best bang for the buck if you plan using it to its fullest potential.

Looking back on my stratified purchases I spent more than I would have if I just got my Tune+ package from the beginning. Don't get me wrong Stratified knows how to tune a car. I loved every one of their tunes they provided me. Get them if you want a flash tune/custom tune and never touch the car again. But if you are looking for the best bang for your buck and plan on going through the stages and beyond, get a custom tune package from Adam is more cost effective.

Been stratified tuned since January and have been super happy. Will be going with a stage 3 custom tune with them in the next few months hopefully. Great company, excellent customer service, and quality workmanship. That being said I've heard good things about Panda and Freektune, just not familiar with them myself.

I was torn between Unleashed, Stratified, and Mountune. I ended up going with Mountune, (Randy), was very responsive to email and answered all my questions. They all had great reviews, I had a feeling I would be happy with either tune. I haven't used an AP since my Subie days and map switching and other little tricks it offered intrigued me and kept me from Unleashed. I had an SCT X4 and iTSX for my Mustangs and just wanted something different. I liked that I got 45 days free data log reviews/corrections with Mountune and got a good deal for everything with one step colder plugs already pre gapped from them, and I plan on running their Bypass valve, so just decided to keep everything with them. So far I'm happy (only been a week or so). Still putting some miles on it before logging for any possible revisions. I just did a battery reset for the ground cable mod so will wait a little longer now too.

I went with Stratified and it has been great, e30 tuned with v2 crackles here. You'll love it!

My experience with Panda has not been good unfortunately, I never received an answer to any questions/requests and my "in stock" part arrived 3 weeks later.

YMMV and good luck.

I also use Justin at Freektune. I have had 2 ots+ maps, a full tune, and a touchup. Justin is on point, fantastic to deal with, and his response times are very reliable. 3days or less. Unless hes on vacation, out of town, etc. Which is to be expected, hes a human being.

I have 54,000 miles, and iirc over 30k of those have been freektuned. No complaints, no worries. When i bolt on the bigger snail , Justin will continue to be tuning the dirtiest of ST's, The Duecette.

I worked with Justin at Freektune on my MS3. He helped make some awesome power with just an intake, test pipe and HPFP. Real breeze to work with. If I ever tune my ST I would probably go to him.
