Where is the tip sensor located?

Never heard of a tip sensor? What does it do?

I believe it's on the hot side of the FMIC

I didn't think there was a sensor between the turbocharger and the intercooler?

It bolts to the outlet side of the IC.

I knew about the sensor on the cold side of intercooler and just thought is was a map only,but i see now it serves 2 functions.
Going to replace it with the 3.5 bar bosch 456 tmap and have it scaled by my tuner.Already have strats ga installed with a 4 bar map for the manifold,oem 3bar tmap is pegged at 44psi and i believe it to be my problem of my tb blades closing to control my boost since the 3bar map looses accuracy once you get to 27+lbs of boost.
