So are you just gonna buy a beater or something to continue working so you don't have to wait to build caged racecar?

I have the wife’s minivan (more mine than hers honestly. AWD Sienna with a Toyota 3.5, the thing may get a turbo soon), and I am at least selling the Mbrp exhaust, the stereo, and the sways/Endlinks(brand new), off mine. Oh, and coilovers. I should be able to get a little Corolla or something, with my part out money. Hell, if I part it all the way out I can go get another Toyota Sequoia.

Oh, and I’m not caging it right away. I’m gonna build it out as much as possible, then drive it daily for as long as it takes to get it to stop breaking (it’s a custom build, I assume something will go wrong), and for me to get natural with heel toe and such (it’s gonna behave different). Then, I’ll get it caged. Then, I’m going racing.

Thanks! If nothing else, I want my kiddos to learn from it. They built the first one with me, and we lost it together. The “family race car” was a WEEK away from dropping $5k on a season of running the Gingerman. We all lost that together. However, this is just how life goes. Ya’ lose your toys sometimes, and you can always build again.

Surprisingly, it’s the five year old daughter that wants to help most. She comes out and gives me random tools, and then I explain what they are for, and then she asks if she can drive it yet.

I tell her to learn to read traffic signs and we’ll go from there.

There you go you dont have to worry about the "motivation" part. You have plenty of that :)
