I bought 2 bottles of Motul DCTF. Ugh, I've bought over a dozen of them in 110k miles, lmfao!!

I'm planning on taking off thursday, and pulling the trans wednes night/thursday. Maybe buy wire, and redo some of my gauge stuff with the trans out the way. Idk. Probably not. More likely to tidy up the harness I made.

Carlisle is coming up. I need to sort my **** out.

Ok, found a like 60k mile 2017 trans. Car was t- boned passenger rear. It's a stock, un modified ST. Thats a bit promising. Going to call them, snag it today if they really have it.

lol late '14 build the best because of brakes....how those stock brakes working out for you 😂 and damn used trans are going for a pretty penny!

I believe in you, faith you can get it done in time for carlisle!
Brakes, puddle lights, st3 center consul, aesthetics, in general the best build year imho. Just didnt want to go on a rant within a rant. ;)

Parts supply would be the only thing holding me back. It doesnt take much to drop and rebuild the trans. Darn shipping though, of components.

Forgot to add, had like 8 oz of water in my hotside pipe. The upper hoseclamp on the intake is like loose. So I believe water tracked down during the last rain storm/s .

It poured out, pure water, not coolant. Really fricking weird. Idk man. Going to go through things a bit. Try to check the fmic for water too.

Smol update.
Thats very strange... maybe not stress fracture? Maybe it broke on a previous Pull, vomited the fluid out, and then you only heard noise after the deceleration on dry gears?

P.s. Garage kept or not. She would still be crusty. Thanks, road salt

No there was a crime scene and trail of fluid. I do this stuff windows down radio off. So I can hear for **** like this. I caught it as soon as it happened. Inspected the trail of shame the following day to confirm.

Its just so odd. I mean, you do have brakes that are capable of rocketing your brain out your eye sockets. Maybe the braking G's put some stresses on the trans case that were never modeled for in the inital R&D of that trans.

That is what I was thinking...freaking strange. Here's to hoping the internals are all copacetic.

I think it was just a ton of abuse, bad casing, then 2 internal rebuilds, and she finally let loose.

Well, its either that, or something hard snapped off and the rig gear smashed it through the case. Which should have more symptoms besides just a crack.

Idk, we'll get a better idea when I split it and inspect.

Yet again, Duece McCracken breaking **** that nobody else breaks, while braking, lol

I had a 2nd gear synchro fail in my old zx2 escort...while in 5th....at 70mph. It was a loud squeal and the car nose dived as if i slammed on the brakes. Still cant explain that one. I double clutched 2nd gear for the next 10 or 15 thousand miles the car was on the road.

Lots of condensation? I guess it could also just drip in as well...strange
