I'm not really a big fan of Plasti-Dip but I've been seriously considering getting the carbon mirror covers and wrapping the wing in carbon fiber. Before I went all out and started wrapping the wing and buying the mirror covers I decided to go ahead and bring out the ol' plasti-dip and have a go. I figured if I hated it I could just peel it off and if I liked it I could keep it on temporarily until I got a chance to go ahead and wrap the wing and put the mirror covers on. What do you guys think? At first I was pretty indifferent but it's very subtle and has grown on me quite a bit. I apologize for the filthy car and potato pics, my S5 has seen better days.

I like the mirrors but I really don't like the wing. I think it kinda ruins the line of the car.

Do the mirror covers in Gloss, here's mine for reference, matches the gloss pillars better. Subtle.

Peel it off now. It only makes it look like its unpainted much like the ricers of yesteryear who got body kits and couldn't afford to paint it.

Ive plastic dipped whole cars. There are even better colors now .ck dipyourcar.com. were going to dip our TS when it warms up. Heres a volester we owned.
For the love of god! Who posts a picture (and admits to owning) a Hyundai Molester on a Focus ST site? Blasphemy! :)

All joking aside, like the dip job. Very nice.

Not a fan.

To me they look like you had to buy replacement parts and they came prefinished with a black primer. They would look better with a carbon look. At least they would look like a carbon product and not an unfinished item.

I don't like the pic of the car with the gloss black mirrors either. Looks like something that would be on a Titanium edition.

Foxbody Mustangs originally came with the mirrors black and I painted those body color 20 years ago. Maybe I just like my mirrors to match the paint on the car. If I did any type of black accent I would probably paint/dip the roof black

Wrap the roof in black and it will help with the lines to the wing. Otherwise I would keep the mirrors and keep the wing stock color. Just my .02

I'm indifferent to it. That doesn't help you at all but it does throw off the lines of the car a bit. Maybe wrap the roof so the black flows from the roof?

Ultimately, it's your car. If you're happy with it, go for it. Doesn't matter what anyone else says or thinks.
