Hey guys and gals!
I have been secretly working on a project for the past few months and am finally ready to start taking preorders. I think this is something most of you have been asking for....without further ado,

How to Order

Its simple. No sign ups, no waiting for lists to fill...just go on over to tbperformanceproducts.com and purchase with my buttons. Orders will be shipped in the order received.

What it Does

This Crash Bar replaces the oem crash bar with a lighter and more compact version. I built this bar out of 1.5" DOM steel. This is the same kind of steel I have built roll cages and tube steel bumpers out of. This frees up room for "activities." These activities can include larger intercoolers, more airflow to the radiator, and some show stopping looks. I have also included two provisions for mounting aftermarket intercoolers, light bars, oil coolers, or horns. There is also an option for a special kind of tow strap that is girth hitched directly to the crash bar. The bar will come standard in a black high gloss powdercoat. For the first time I am offering some color options on these bars for an additional cost. THESE COLORS ARE LISTED ON MY SITE. I can also send them out bare if your specific highlighter neon orange purple is not listed as an option :p

Details TLDR

-Fits both ST and RS WITHOUT cutting

-High strength DOM steel

-Extra clearance for larger intercoolers

-Improved airflow to radiator or intercooler

-Mounting tabs for accessories such as light bars, intercoolers, oil coolers or horns

-Direct bolt on fitment

-Standard high gloss black powdercoat OR color options for additional price

-Preorder expected to ship within 1 month

Shipping Times

I expect to have the first of these orders out by October 1st. It very well may be sooner than that. Please do not message me a billion times asking for when they will ship. This is a product with a ton of demand and I we all know I will be working around the clock to kick these out in a timely manner. This product has a ton of demand and I am one person so please work with me :D

Legal Stuff

Ok, the stuff I have to say. I am not an engineer and I do not claim to be. These bars are NOT crash tested. They are STRICTLY for off road use only. There is no telling what can occur in an accident and I am not responsible for any injuries, deaths or damages that may occur due to this product. As is the case with modifying your vehicle, you are responsible for your actions. No warranty expressed or implied. PLEASE be safe. I love building pars for you guys and do not want anyone to have anything happen to them.

Order placed

I ended up just opting for the standard coating since it’s free and when real life/reality hits and it takes me two weeks to get done my junk and the raw is rusting away...

So, when I open products, I see the screen giving a coupon code, but no way to view products or place an order?

I'd love to get one of these.

Worked from Chrome on phone. Did not work from IE11, Edge, or Chrome on PC. Now that I see what it's supposed to load, it's not making the product category call.

Ordered the 27 of Sep

Email today it has been shipped 2-10 days. Pretty reasonable for a part that large free shipping.

As the site says no communication other than order confirmation from their website and PayPal, then confirmation once shipping. No problems = no special emails needing sent.

I will update when it gets here. Likely going to be at least a few days before I can test fit it once I get it.

Is it possible to post a picture of the purple powder coated crash bar?

Also I noticed that there are two tabs on the lower part of the bar; are those mounting tabs for intercoolers & if they are, is there a way we can select to have them on when purchasing?

Received item early in the day 10-12 via 2 day mail (CA to NJ). That must have cost a pretty penny.

Box had a slight nick/dent in the top, probably from shipping and in an area I wasn’t concerned with the product to the point where I felt I needed to open it with the mailman there to document an issue.

Very well packed as pictured. Entire item wrapped in 1-2 layers of thick bubble wrap then entire box filled with packing peanuts to capacity so item can’t even move an inch. Bubble wrap taped together but never to item, comes off without any damage to finish.

Powdercoating looks excellent and uniform. If there are flaws they were too small for me to find in a five minute inspection. Welds are clearly MIG but appear of good penetration. All joints are 360 welded. I might crank the heat up one more setting. Nothing that leaves concerns functionally or aesthetically.

Main crossbar appears straight and true no welding heat bends. Setting both ends (the plates that bolt to car) flat on a known flat level surface, the piece as a whole is true and was obviously done on a jig. Measurement bolt holes to bolt holes shoes the end plates are square to each other. I am overall extremely happy especially with only a $400 total cost. This is easily $1000 piece on other cars from major manufacturers.

Included were a personalized thank you note and two extra decals. I requested extra decal in shipping instructions because I plan on grinding areas to weld on extra tabs and then having to re-coat and apply the decal then. Not sure if these two were standard or due to that request. With how nice this coating is I am considering just keeping the grinding areas minimal and trying to just hit them with some gloss black paint and clear. We will see. No instructions included or packing slip or receipt. I’m glad, that’s all wasted paper anyway these days. If you need instructions you have no business installing this part.

If I had any negative comments it would be that all the bolt holes/mounting tab holes seem excessively large. I’m sure this is to facilitate some wiggle room fitment once mounted to the car. Ford cars are notoriously different from each even right off the line and some of these customers are well over 100,000 miles and 2-3 accidents...I’m sure some potential customers are buying this to repair crash damage. I will see once I mount it how much “play” the holes have and re-assess. I may mount it and tack some washers on. None of the mounting tabs have nuts or threads I assume they are all through/bolt setups. Again this is something I will look at once on car and potentially add but I realize it would be unrealistic to manufacture this way due to car-car differences especially the tabs that are there for aftermarket add ons.

I did not opt for the additional toe strap and welded mount because I am not a fan of toe straps on track cars. I have always use welded hooks and I will be adding my own to the bar once I locate the larger items.

Again, overall very happy. 9/10 overall, 10/10 when the price is factored in. I will share more after a test mount and then a finished product. Don’t expect anything fast with a baby on the way and winter’s suck ass weather.

Look above in my third picture, the intercooler mount tabs are in the center of the bar but face backwards towards the rear of the car. I'm not sure in that one picture of the gold bar off the car why they face downward, maybe customer request.
He is very reasonable and will delete them or move them if you can specify where with measurements. If you need extra tabs or features added, that is extra cost.

Install was fairly straight forward. Still can't get over now only how much better it looks but all the extra room you have in the front for more accessories!
