AP was on its way Monday and we have more in stock. The APs come with the SOTS+ maps or full tunes at a discount.

 

Our SOTS+ tunes are updated as new features become available from COBB and we find places for improvement.

For example, our latest update includes further smoothing of the throttle under light throttle applications.

 

If I order a stos+ tune, can you guys set me up with the on the fly map switching and stuff?

Im still running a randy fswerks tune and have been wanting to upgrade to all the new features.

Also if I order a stos+ tune, and decide to add a part down the road, is there a fee to update or is it just the cost of the tune over again?

 

We can set you up with all the latest features yes.
That depends on what the part is. Some parts don't need tune updates - just send us a message and we are always reasonable with our customers.

I purchased my S-OTS+ tune before COBB rolled out this true on the fly map switching (instead of the car needing to be at rest). Is there a problem if I update the firmware to the latest revision?

 

I belive if you were on the most current version before this update you will be fine.

 

All of our SOTS+ maps are backwards compatible with the COBB firmware. However enabling the features such as on the fly map switching would require the parameter to be changed in the tune.

 

We strive to keep up to date with all the latest technologies, releases, and updates. These include internal R&D work as well as features added by COBB. All of our SOTS+ maps have been updated to version 2.0 and are now more user customizable than ever. Any SOTS+ map purchase from yesterday on will include these updates and changes. That is awesome. I had been wanting to get mine refreshed to include a few new mods. The OTS+ of yours that I am currently running is awesome compared to the stock OTS tunes that come on the AP3. Thanks for the good deal. One day I will have to get the full tune.

 

Sounds like a great solution. Especially with the advanced features. Beats paying full price for the Cobb accesstuner. Are there dyno results available? What if we want to remap a slot? Are minor tweaks like that included post purchase?

 

You can request any of the changes supported by the Sots+ when you get it updated. So if you change fuel types, have different mods or want different launch control setting this is all part of the update.

The sots+ updates that were purchased Friday and during the weekend are being sent out tomorrow.

 

Are updates completed as requested? Is there is cost? Definitely close to pulling the trigger. No Brainer here. I answered most of my other questions reading most of the 50+ page thread. Good stuff!

I just purchased an update for my original SOTS tune this morning. My question is this, it seems that cobb bumped the rpm's up in all v300 OTS maps but since i have had the recall done I shoudnt need the higher RPM level right? If so can the new tune take that into account? Also, im planning on putting in some Denso22's this weekend. Do you need to know that when making a new tine?

The spark plugs won't affect the tune. Just make sure they are gapped to 0.026". We run a slightly higher idle but this is for overall smoothness. If you'd like a completely stock idle mention it on the tuning order and form.

 

If my itv22s are gapped at 0.030“ should I regap to 0.026“ before trying out the tune? Any issues with this gap? Thanks

 

If you get any breakup or blowout under WOT then gap them down.

 

Just happened to get a dyno on the Stratified V1 tune (Mustang Dyno). Seems like there are some throttle closures between 3000-4000rpm... There is a noticeable dip in the curve.

No logs, unfortunately. They were using the OBD port for RPM. Hood was open, I have an upgraded FMIC, fans were on, and it was like 55 degrees in she shop. Car was off for like 2hrs before the runs. The power is very consistent too. I really doubt it's heat soak...

 

Take a few logs on the street if there are any concerns and send them in.

 

Flash Tune V3.00 has been released!

This is something that I have worked on quite a bit - improving shifting. I felt the ST was very clumsy on upshifts so this update focuses on making the ST feel like a normal manual car when shifting.
Improvements to throttle control as well as variable valve timing were also incorporated in the tune.

As usual all new flash tune orders include these features as well as all custom tunes.

I have been testing these changes, let me tell you guys: This is a huge release. These changes are absolutely experience changing when it comes to driving. We all know that this platform has this X-factor when it comes to driving it, something we can't quite explain to our friends. This change enhances that 10 fold. Got the flash 93 tune installed. Wow. Car was strong before but pulls noticeably harder now. AFR, Octane adjust ratios and Ignition corrections looking great. Very happy with the performance. I also like being able to monitor so many variables to keep a close eye on what the car is doing. Thanks again Stratified, great work.

 

How is the torque managed in the lower gears? I'm back to running on the stock tune in winter now because I just spin the winter tires right off back when I was running the V1.0 tune.

 

The low boost 14.5psi tune slot included is a great alternative for poor traction conditions.
