@Stealth asked for a 2.3 and here we go. I had the motor from my wrecked ST and we decided to build it. So the specs are 2.3, extrude honed head, Crower valve springs. keyed crank,pinned cams and bored TB. He's running a GTX2971 on his stock block now. Parts are ordered and on the way. Motor took about four hrs to tear down. Block looks good with no damage. My main bearings showed some wear and the carbon buildup on pistons and injectors is horrible. The motor had 50000 miles on it

We thought about it but he has a custom JDL turbo kit so that would add to the cost

True but it'll will make enough power and the cost will be really low. The motor with parts, balance,head work and honing will cost about $2500

That sounds very cheap but labor is probably paid in beer and food I assume! Subbing this

Took the block, gunked the crap out of it and pressure washed it. The real engine builder did the inspection LOL. Next is getting all the silicone off it hone,clean the deck and a rewash.

Head is ready to be dropped off at the machine shop tomorrow to remove the valves and springs then off to extrude hone.
