Hi just wanted to ask what are these two bits on my front bumper

They look like headlight washers. We don’t get those here in the US.

Yep! Headlight sprayers. They'll pop out when someone hits the windshield washer

yup.
My last GLI had those on it, it was a really odd thing that I never noticed when I bought the car.
They would pop out and spray like every 5th time you used the windshield sprayer.
I originally thought something broke because I would see this p00f of spray come up over the hood.
