Hi guys,

I don't have any rattle on my car. But each time it's cold outside if I shift or when I start from a stop...in other words, each time I give some power I hear a brief squeaking noise...when the car or the weather is warmer I don't get it...I feel like it comes from close to the wheel
do you have an idea...If I can avoid the dealer service for this one it could be nice.

thank you

So very strange as I had this exact same noise yesterday for the first time, but when the engine compartment warmed up it disappeared, maybe 5-10 min. First time car has seen temps <32F.
It only happened while accelerating very slowly, and only at a low rpm point. I even got it to reproduce at one point in 2nd gear, clutch completely out, getting on/off the gas ever so lightly at probably less than 1500 rpm.
If I engaged the clutch at 1k+ rpm firm, seemed to be less prominent until the heat made it disappear completely.
So I also threw it up to just some random noise and not going to spend time going to a dealership.

Hey Guys,

This sounds like the same problem my car has, and I've been able to fix it with a simple (somewhat ghetto) fix. If you open your hood and put your hand against the intake pipe, like right where the accordion section is coming off from the airbox. Give that section a little downward whack with the palm of your hand and listen to see if it makes the noise you've been hearing. I bet it will. The noise comes from the front-most airbox mounting point. What you have to do is take off the airbox lid, remove the filter, and then pull back the little rubber shroud that holds the little snorkel tubes that run from the airbox into the grill. Then you have to yank those two tubes out, and you'll be able to see and access the front-most mount point right under there. If you give it a pull straight up, it should pop out of the mount. The little peg that fits into the rubber grommet rubs and makes that annoying squeak whenever the engine rocks backward on load. What I did was I took a piece of thin fabric across the hole and pushed the airbox back down into the grommet, and that has taken care of the noise. Just have to make sure to put it back if you take the airbox out for any reason. I would go take pics, but my car is in the shop right now.

Do like I do and give them as much detail as possible. A lot of people have found a certain "nipple" under the airbox (I believe) to be the cause of this problem. Once that is taped or lubed up, the issue goes away.

My car was doing this and when I had the TSB for the wire harass done they fixed it by lubing the air box connections when they put it back together. They then said they couldn't reproduce the sound but explained they did the TSB first so that may have fixed it. More than a month later and with some very cold weather the Isis hasn't returned.

I find it very hard to believe that this issue you guys are describing is caused by airbox/mount rattle. I know my mount is bad but just could not come to terms with it. I am also getting the noise but thought it was more dangerous than what was described here (scared my pants off everytime i hear the sound). Few weeks ago I bought new mount just sitting in the car cause i couldn't connect the noise with it.

I will check this solution and report back.
