So i searched 'splitter rods' and didn't see much on them. But I see them ALL the time. Maybe I didn't search the right term..so if someone has a link to a good thread on them I'm all ears (or eyes? lol).
I've noticed nearly everyone mounts them to plastic...yeah.
So I was curious what set-ups people have used to mount splitter rods properly to brackets or the frame, not the plastic bumper or grill.

You've only seen the nose! Once all this Coronavirus stuff's out of the way and I get a few more things done then I'll show the other stuff I've done.
lol, i got some shifter stuff done, lowering springs, splitters, pro-tuned for 93 and E30...being home for 'work' has given me a lot of time during the day. Im also putting on an RS spoiler but i need it painted first. All stuff I can do in my garage/driveway so I'm okay with being 'quarantined' lol

The only major thing I've got to do is get a touchscreen conversion, because Ford over here didn't see fit to install them in any of the pre-facelifts. I'll probably go for a Pioneer that a dealer showed me. I would've had it fitted already if it wasn't for this damned virus. After that it'll mostly be minor stuff, like getting a new steering wheel from SS-Tuning. I think the only other relatively major thing I'll do is get the inner wheel arches trimmed so I can have better fitting tires installed.

What splitter is that?
A Maxton, the biggest one they do. If I didn't have the cup spoilers it'd look silly, but with the cup spoilers it almost fitted like a glove. It just needed slight modifications at the back to stop it from making contact with the wheels.

its doubtful any of the aftermarket splitters are going to produce enough down force to require chasis mounting supports. Most i would bet are just cosmetic and only need just some light support to be held on properly. I think you just need to take a few measurements and order some universal supports, most look like they are adjustable to fine tune the length.

I'd assume the further your splitter sticks out, the better you want to secure it.
