Well, I'm back on the board after a while. I know we've discussed this before and I know these aren't the best straight line vehicles, but with everything done to this vehicle and it is absolutely no faster than what it was when it was stock is disappointing. It ran it's quickest time this past Sunday and it's sad. 14.17 @ 99.01 mph. I can't fathom that putting the following:

Mountune low restriction intake
Mountune uprated valve
Symposer delete
Cobb catted downpipe
Full custom exhaust
Levels intercooler
Cobb tuner with a tune from Stratified for the supporting mods
Boomba rear motor mount (we broke the FSWerks one)
Nitto NT05's @ 25psi

Meanwhile, there was another ST out there with just a tune trapping 102 mph with crappy 60' times running 14.5's - I've cut consistent 2.0-2.1 60' times. I can boil the tires off and hit 2.4 and only muster 99mph.

The car launches with all esc off etc. at 2500 rpm, clutch slip and it's gone.

I've checked everything for a boost leak once and I'm not positive there is one, according to the 'gauge' inside it's going to at least 22-23psi. When I use the Cobb accessport boost pressure shows 18.7-9 psi and it jumps to 20 when you shift. I've logged and used Datazap and I can't find anything. So what are we missing here?

The intake doesn't help until after 350 whp.

Where are you shifting? How much timing are you getting? Are you or your father heavy; IE over 200 lbs? Are you going to the track with full tank?

The more you delay WOT the slower the car will go. With a tune only (E30), on slicks, launch at 4,000-4,300 my car ran all around 99 mph until I short shifted 3-4 at 5,700-5,800 (shift light comes on at 5,900) and it ran 100.44 mph (13.42) with no other changes: 5 gallons or less fuel, no spare/jack/tool (50 + lbs out), full interior, heavy stock wheels on the back.

Intake makes no difference at all. I then tighten the pre-load on the stock wastegate and I went 101.96 with a terrible 1.96 60'. Then I added a down pipe, at this point I know the stock intercooler is holding me back, it ran 102.67 and 102.49 mph (13.14).

One intake that does make a difference is the ram air scoop available from a few places now.

If you have no leaks, then you and your father weigh more than I do (190 lbs). Plus you must be showing up with a half tank or more.

You believe you are Stage 3, so what are you were expecting out of Stage 3 on 93 octane? 106-107 mph? Won't happen. More like 102-105 mph.

Your boost is down a bit, I spike 22, 21-20 around 5,000 rpm because of the pre-load adjustment. Might I suggest getting a Turbo Smart IWG and either get a E30 tune or water injection ; you will need water injection pre-turbo to hold 20-21 psi to redline. You can not inject enough ethanol to get the maxmium benefit of E85's cooling properties.

It could be your car is just down 10-15 hp compared to others. You could complain to Ford about this and see what happens. I believe I also suggested trying another tuner such as JST or Freektune.
The boost is down yes, I believe. We dyno'd it the other day and put down 266/328 with a conservative tune from Stratified. Neither of us are heavy, I'm 180 and my dad is like 160. We both bang it out of the gate at 2500 , slip of the clutch and it grabs like crazy and takes off. Anything above that it spins the tires and becomes useless (esc off etc, 25psi in tires) We're shifting at roughly 5600 through all gears with the exception of 1-2 which is around 6000. We usually run with 1/2 tank and have no weight reduction.

The main problem is a tuned ST with no other mods runs a quicker mph but ****ty 60' time compared to ours. We did though during the dyno also upload a datalog (in the performance forum) and someone commented it must be leaking somewhere since the psi is down about 3 psi, and the wgdc hits 100% at almost 4k rpm.

I don't know if it'll be a problem anymore since we just ordered a GTX2863R on Sunday.

I'm on the same boat. Mods: FRPP tune, FRPP intake, FsWerks Short shifter, Cobb Motor mount, rear sway, Depo 3.5 intercooler. I went 14.3-14.4 @ 100 mph. I was completely disappointed. I listened to some advice Djformoney (which is much appreciated!) gave me. I removed the seats, lowered air in the tire, launched at 2800 rpm.... 14.2 @ 99.87 mph , 2.24 60 ft =/ (which is as good as its going to get on street tires). This car just has not responded. Now im thinking if spending money on a COBB AP would be worth it. Will there even be gains to be had??? is spending 700 on an AP and custom tune, 300 for a down pipe, trashing my FRPP warranty (for what its worth) to net MAYBE 3 mph and MAYBE a 13.8- 14.00 flat or maybe ont even see a gain but see the same numbers? then 700 hundred more for slicks/drag radials. 1700 more for a 13.5? and still not be able to beat most other modded hot hatches. Now a bigger turbo? add 2400 more...4 grand. Im just kinda disappointed, (albiet a really fun car) and i wasnt expecting miracles but a good tune and an inter-cooler should of netted a 13.6 on every one of our cars but it only seems that a handful seem to respond well to tunes. Now im thinking of just putting that money to what i owe and trading her in =/. I wish i could put up #'s like Djformoney, but have yet to see a single ST break 14.00 here in SA, and ive been to the strip about 4 times now
I know how it is, I cut 2.0's on street tires, with the NT05's not much better (the street tire version) but I can say they handle a whole hell of a lot better. I've seen them in the 13's and at over 100mph with less mods. Pretty sad the same as my GTI 14.0 @ 100mph with a motor mount insert and street tires with a lot less power. Hopefully the GTX2863R will get us in the mid 13's, or someone's going to be super pissed.

Fixed boost leak, ran 13.722 @ 101.81 mph tonight with a 2.16 60' - launched at 3500, minimal wheelspin though, I must have broke an exhaust hanger or something making a weird rattling noise in the midsection, too dark to look at it now. Never thought a boost leak would cause it to run that crappy but I guess when you max boost at 18 and it falls off quick it messes up a lot. It was consistently hitting 22-23 psi, we found it to be the symposer delete was leaking.
