i plan on researching this today. i have the same issue and am going back to the dealership to find out and will let you know what i find out.

I was under the impression that we can't get Sirius with our ST1's, but the fact that we see it in the menu is very interesting. Subscribed.

 

Yea its got me to thinking, mine even came with a free six month subscription card... kinda funny if you think about it...

 

ok guys just got off the phone with the dealer i purchased my ST from, was quoted $700 bucks just for parts, and for that price i had to pull the head unit replace parts with parts from the "kit" he called it, and send my factory parts back to ford for reuse. Cost was over $800 if you failed to send back original Factory parts... Looks like ill be streaming slacker instead...

So from what I gather you can't use sirius on the stock headunit without costly hardware? did you only have to pay the difference (since you said that it'll cost you 800 if you didn't send back the original parts)?

I feel like i've been 'had' a little. I was under the impression when buying this car that it was equipped with sirius XM. Why even bother including the free 6 month trial? Super lame.

Guess I'll just stick to streaming it through my smartphone. Would be nice to not eat my data plan up though
