So my ST was the first car I ever bought on my own--and thus my first brand new car. I knew little to nothing about cars before purchasing my ST, and I'm still trying to absorb the basics...

Anyway.

My dealer put an oil change sticker that indicates I should do service on 6/22 or at 5,000 miles. Right now I'm sitting at about 4750. That being said, I will have absolutely no time this week to service my car (at least on the 9-6 dealer hours). Will it be terrible for my ST if I go over by a couple of hundred miles? I seriously doubt I'll go over 5,300 by next week. Sorry if this seems like a total noob post, but I'd rather ask people who know rather than risk damaging my car from the very beginning. My only other option is to take it to a generic oil change place that stays open later, but I'd rather have an agency look at it during its warranty period.

Thanks for any and all help!

You'll be fine, per maintenance schedule your first service isn't until 10k/1year on this motor or when the indicator comes on. Even then you have 2 weeks/500 miles to change it. Dealer probably has their own recommended service schedule. That they just make uniform for decal purposes to cover all models and just get you in the door. This is all per the user manual for a factory fill. Me personally I do a fluid change at 1000 miles on a brand new car. Then every year after that since I don't drive but 7500 a year. Or when the light comes on. That's using a full synthetic meeting or exceeding Fords minium standard for oil. And I like Ford filters.

From the ford user manual:

"Your vehicle is equipped with an intelligent Oil-Life Monitor that determines when you should change the engine oil based on how your vehicle is used. By using several important factors in its calculations, the monitor helps reduce the cost of owning your vehicle and reduces the environmental waste at the same time. This means you do not have to remember to change the oil on a mileage-based schedule. Your vehicle lets you know when an oil change is due by displaying "ENGINE OIL CHANGE DUE" or "OIL CHANGE REQUIRED" in the information display."

It then says
"Do not exeed one year or 10,000 miles (16,000 km) between service intervals."

So essentially you only need to change either: once per year, or every 10,000 miles, or when the computer tells you to (because computer knows your driving requires more frequent changes).

Personally I gave my car an oil change at 1000 miles, but now I am going to run the full 10,000 miles/year before I change it again (unless of course the computer says otherwise). It seems like a long time to go, but may as well take the manufacturers word for it, they would have to honour their own word in a warranty dispute. Keep in mind it is synthetic oil they recommend so even 10,000 miles could be argued too soon.

when one changes the oil do I have to reset the oil change monitor and if so how do I do it
Haven't done it on the ST yet as I just got it. But my Mustang was reset through the menu in the gauge cluster. My wife's Escape with the 2.0 in it is done with power on, (engine not running) hold the brake and accelerator pedal down simultaneously until the indicator resets. If I were to guess which one the ST was like I would probably guess the same way as the Escape.
