I am wondering if anyone who owns an ST2 like myself is wondering if heated seats can be added. Any info or thoughts?
I assume your body harness does not have the plugs already there for the switches. If that is the case, then you either need to spend 400-600 bucks on a body harness or you need to figure out how to wire it all up yourself. that is how the ST1 folks will have to do it if trying to make it all factory looking/functioning.I got ahold of an ST3 console with all the E-brake and switches. Now I just have to figure out how to get everything else I need. From what I can see I will need the heater pads, and control modules to put this onto an ST2?
I'll be doing this on the ST2. I'm not sure if it has the plugs or not as it will be 2 weeks before I actually pick up my car. On the modules and pads will I have to source used ones or can we get them from Ford?I assume your body harness does not have the plugs already there for the switches. If you could put up those schematics that would be great. So far I have the entire center console from a Titanium with heated seats (including switches and e-brake) I just need to get everything else and figure out how to add the missing wires. You can get everything from ford.
I have an ST2, it's wired closer to how the ST3 is than the ST1 but there seemed to be a few missing wires in the body harness. The ST2 console harness does not have any of the required wires. I think as stated before here that there is power in the fuse block and there is power under the seat on the st2, probably main power to the module.
If needed I could probably get and post the schematics for the 2014 cars, wire colors may have changed.
Ok I'll see if I can get them tomorrow, shouldn't be much different than the 2013 diagrams I posted earlier but wire colors and pins may have changed. If you could put up those schematics that would be great. I dislike that ebrake as well, one of the factors in stepping to a ST2.If anyone is looking for an ST3 center console with ebrake and heated seat switches, I am looking for an ST2 center console with the ebrake. I'm looking for pretty much brand new ('14). I prefer the ST2 cup holders and e-brake and would probably just grab the Focus SE heated seat switches !
Just looking for some clarification on this... The wires you tapped are on the seat wiring harness? Are the wires you tapped already set up with connectors to switched power from the car harness?6. I was going to try to get the connectors from Ford to splice into but managed to get no help from the parts department. Instead, I used wire taps to connect into the seat wiring harness without cutting any wires.
Yes they are. They turn off when the car does.Just looking for some clarification on this... The wires you tapped are on the seat wiring harness? Are the wires you tapped already set up with connectors to switched power from the car harness?
Has anyone put one of these bezels into an ST2?Anyone know the part number for this. I had it at one point. It's a $80 switch.
Edit: SW7324. I believe this is the correct one.

Thanks! I found the right ones. How about putting the pads in the racaros? I took my seat out and messed with it for a couple hours but couldn't get the pad past the first couple inchesYes they are. They turn off when the car does.
There are velcro sections in the seats where the leather meets the cloth if I recall correctly. It feels like you are hitting a seem but it is the velcro. Carefully separate it, on my first one I just tore past it which ripped the velcro out of the foam. It did not hurt the seats appearance or function though so if you do rip it out, it's not the end of the world. Thanks! I found the right ones. How about putting the pads in the racaros? Awesome, thank you for all the input! I'll take the seat out and try again. There are velcro sections in the seats where the leather meets the cloth if I recall correctly. Any update on this? Unfortunately that link doesn't work for me. I don't see a part. If it worked, do you have a part number, pic of what it is?Awesome, thank you for all the input! I'll take the seat out and try again.
Also, for those interested in connecting the power to the wiring harness bracket on the seat...I ordered this part from Ford: 2013 Ford Focus Seat Back Adjuster Wiring | FordParts.com
It's the least expensive wiring I could find for a seat component. I'm hoping this has the correct connector like the other colored ones that slide into the black assembly. It was only $5 to find out, and I will let you guys know what I actually end up getting when it comes.
Sorry for the delay...no this wasn't what I thought it would be. It must clip into another harness under the seat, but it doesn't fit in the main assembly like I was hoping it would.Any update on this? Unfortunately that link doesn't work for me.
