For my friends in cold climates where there's snow on the ground for a couple months and the cities spread salt everywhere... did you get your car rust proofed? Last time I had to do it was a while ago. It was messy and the grease dripped for 3 days and was overall just really unpleasant.

Have rustproofing techniques improved? What about electronic rustproofing?

Some people spray with boiled linseed oil, which is a practice that's been around for a very long time. Probably a bit more pleasant than used motor oil, or something.

I go the krown route every year, It's still on there nice and thick by the spring when I jack it up and power wash it all off. Pretty happy. But honestly that or any sort of dripless oil is a good thing to do.
