So im looking at getting new rotors and pads and it seems tire rack has the best deal from what i have searched. anyways im not a novice when it comes to brakes but they are asking me what mm discs i have. i dont even know how to find that out?

sooo....... what happens if i get the wrong mm?

im pretty sure i am pre 2014 but could i use the 13.1 without any hassle?
You can and it's a good cheap upgrade, but also need caliper brackets and new or modified dust shields. Info below. I've had good luck with Centric/Stoptech rotors from AutoAnything (they often have sales on them), also OEM from Ford are pretty cheap too.

Edit: One thing to note though is that if you have the 16" spare tire, it won't fit on the front anymore.
