Hello folks. Would anyone happen to know the weight limit for the focus st roof? I have a Yakima aero bar setup which is rated at 165lbs, but I can't find it anywhere in the service manual what the roof itself can handle. Thanks in advance!

My OEM UK Ford roof rack manual states it supports no more than 75 kg's. Which converts to 165lbs.

Its not so much the function of the roof supporting whatever, it's more your rack. If you car was rolled over, it's supporting thousands of pounds, and it's not going to fold in. That's what the A/B/C pillars are for!.

You will buckle just about any roof rack you care to put on before you even come close to exceeding the amount of weight the roof itself is capable of handling. They are designed to remain structurally intact through high-speed rollovers in which tens of tons of force are expected.

You are not going to find in any documentation the exact weight the roof is capable of handling; that would require testing that simply isn't performed as there's no requirement for it.
