So I've read from other places that the front sway bar is not needed in the handling area of the car from fwd. is this true? Would I benefit from removing or disconnecting the front sway bar?

You'd need to have very stiff springs and dampener valving to unhook the front sway bar on the ST. It would be nice to be able to get a less stiff front sway bar. What you don't want to do is add a stiffer front sway bar to try and cure under steer.
So up to a point less front bar = more front grip.

I have JKS quick disconnects on my front sway bar on my 04' Grand Cherokee. But that is a solid front axle, and it's done when you're offroading to increase suspension articulation. But removing it completely, um, no.

The only car you want to remove the front stabilizer bar from is a RWD drag car. Case in point.. (stock engine)

Except slicks n' skinnies, and probably stalled, dumps, and bolt-ons.

That doesn't happen when you remove the swaybar from an otherwise stock RWD car. :)

This car does not need more oversteer. I think without a front bar, the "snap oversteer" would become "oops broke your neck oversteer"

I can see how it could benefit a pushy fwd car, but the FoST is different than most. This is probably taken out of context from an autox conversation, because you can only alter the front bar in many autox classes whereas most people who want more oversteer would normally add a stiffer rear bar.

I thought of it as the wheels will be more planted and less understeer I have fortune auto coils but that's only a 7k Spring so it Probobly wouldn't be enough to support the car

I felt like I got more understeer but I also was on bald tires so idk. I thought about dropping to a 6k front spring

To the OP, I've found this guys explanation to be very well written and easy to understand. Perhaps you'll agree, give it a read.

thank you that cleared things up. Just wish I could get some less front sway bar and stiffer rear springs

Yea i figured out my issue with installing it. The jack/lift I have available makes it challenging since it takes up a lot of space. But i dont want to bother with the install especially if it will have nevative results, I dont want to have to take eveything apart all over again. Ill tell you what, not having a garage or tools of my own really makes things challenging some times.

Got up this morning and thought "what the heck" I'll install that sway bar you sold me, it should only take a couple hours. I took my time and everything was pretty straight forward until I tried to loosen the damn rack bolts. Someone at Ford thought it was cute to practically weld them in and put them in a difficult place to get any kind of grip. Anyway, the estimated 2- 3 hours ended up closer to 4 but I did it without any blood shed. For me that's a victory. The bar did just what I wanted, took out that little bit of roll I was getting on a particular wide corner I take every day to and from work. I need to get it aligned and hopefully that will be done tomorrow night. The car now as the Eibach Pro Springs and Steeda front and rear sway bar. I may add adjustable end links up front but I haven't really checked to see if its necessary. Anyway, thanks for the nice deal on the sway bar, it was worth it for me.

You have to drop the subframe (pain).

The bar stiffens up the front and from most reports causes the front to 'skid' i.e., understeer quite badly.

A few who had one installed actually removed it because the effects were so detrimental.

Good to know. The car handles great with the springs and rear sway bar. Its a daily i probally dont need to install the front sway bar. Might be seeing my front swaybar on the focusst.org marketplace.
