Ordered my FMIC Saturday night, got here today (Wednesday) and I must say shipping wise I am very happy. Nice and covered. Product looks great, still have to get home and open up the bolts that came with to make sure everything's there. Looking to install this weekend. Hopefully everything goes smooth. did you remove the active shutters when you installed the IC or were they already deleted?

Install is not bad. Can be done using ramps. A couple articles in here on the install, Don't know if this has been resolved but a couple people myself included had to drill out the bolt holes for the mounts, took about 10 minutes, good product does the job. Two things I found helped were a can of hairspray for getting a good grip for the piping and a couple pieces of thick foam door seal to put between the intercooler and radiator at the mounts to deal with a minor rattle.

I haven't heard a rattle on mine as of now, so I'm not worried too much on this, but any tips are helpful for the next person. Thanks man

I did all by myself and it took me a little over 3 hours. Rented a spot in a DIY garage here in SoCal and they provided lift and tools.

Damn.. I'm so jelly.. I can't wait to get mine.. this is the one I'm getting as well.. Is there any way to mount it like, AS CLOSE as possible to the lower front grille? i've see this done on a couple other cars but didn't know if it was FMIC specific or what was entailed.

Not really because it clips on and uses the same Holding points like the OEM IC. Only way would be getting a bigger IC

To get it as close to the grill as possible, ditch the 3.5" and place an order on the 5.5" it nearly perfectly fills the space between the radiator and grill.
