Hey guys-
After doing a few rallycross races in my ST, I just wanted to share some things if you haven't tried it yet. Basically- just do it. They specifically adjust the course to avoid any large bumps/holes over time to make it as smooth as possible. That being said, it is definitely better suited to a stock ride-height car with clearance and bump travel. But, it wasn't nearly as rough on the car as I thought it would be....just really dirty.
A bunch of the guys will completely disconnect their sway bars to get more independent travel as well. I've tried both connected and disconnecting sway bars and prefer the disconnected feel- the car doesn't bounce around nearly as much and traction is improved.
Anyways, I highly recommend doing a local race if you can. After 15+ years of autocrossing, track days, TT's, etc, I'm really hooked on racing in the dirt now. Definitely recommended!!
