Looked around and didn't see anyone mention it but it looks like Quaife is creating a sequential gearbox for the RS and ST. It appears to be the first of its kind that is being offered for the mk.3 Focus. What is everyone thoughts on this?

Its things like this that make me wonder "do I really need to do silly things like put a down payment on a house or stay out of debt?" I would be all over this though. I wonder why its only a 5 spd. Not that that would be a big deal for me. Especially with the current ratios for 5th and 6th being as close as they are.

5 speed so they can make the 5 gears much wider and stronger. Probably has a long first gear to make up for most of first and second and then more closely stacked gears after that.

So not BT guys can just eat 1 gear instead of 2! Plus, quicker shifts, less shifting, etc. This would be awesome.

Yeah but... I don't have any of those goodies and I am sure they need a test dummy and I'm just extending a helping hand from the community from the standpoint of someone looking to help further the research and development category haha.

So quite literally it'd make more sense for me to go trade in my 16' and get a new fully loaded RS. Wow, that's depressing and it looks like I'll have to probably stick with my plans of a Mfactory LSD in a year or two.

I thought it was more than that, however, for 98% of people this is an unrealistic mod at that price range. Like you said though, its going to be for specific applications and not someone using it as a DD, at least not most.
