I've got leaking CV axle boots on my 2007 Focus SE. I was able to successfully remove the axle. When removing the output shaft seal from the transaxle, I gouged the aluminum in a couple places along with making one other scratch (see picture below).
What are your thoughts about using JB Weld...
I tried to search this but I couldn't find anything, but has anyone ever thought a putting an electric motor on the rear wheels to help get the ST off the line, and then disengage. Maybe I'm crazy but seems like a great idea.

I'm planning to change plugs on my 2007 Explorer 4.6L V8. How do you set the gap on these type of plugs? Rockauto says the gap is preset and no need to set them.
I think it's great the gap is preset; however, the boxes were pretty banged up when I received them. I'd like to confirm the gap...

I figured I should start a thread for my car here, and hopefully it'll be allowed in the ST Builds forum even though it isn't quite an ST.
First off though, some answers to a couple of common questions:
Why didn't you buy...
From where does the rack & pinion get its fluid? Is it from the power steering system?
If you have a leak in the rack & pionion where all the tubes and hoses connect to it, will the rack & pinion system maintain sufficient fluid if you keep the power steering reservoir full?
